Just noticed that the registration fee has gone up from a proposed $85 to now $105. I realise that this is not set in concrete yet as none of us have actually registered but can this be explained actually what the $105 actually covers?Tasmania 2015 GTG Committee Member 2005 Prado Pilbara, Sovereign Bar, Driver & passenger weathershields, UHF TX3220, Spare wheel spaces, Lifestyle rack, Genuine front & midrow seatcovers, Genuine front & midrow rubber floor mats, ARB 47 litre fridge/freezer, Hilux washer jets, BF Goodridge A/T, Radiator protection plate, Dual battery tray and isolator, ARB 2.5m awning, Rhino heavy duty areo bars, MSA rear wheel bin, MAXTRAX

That seems pretty fair to me, we had a lot of cash sponsorship last year. $105 for a week long guided tour of the high country with a shirt and a couple of meals thrown in is an absolute bargain in anyone's language.

Sounds good to me, but I hope that there will be a cancellation policy and partial refunds with enough notice. I wasn't happy as I had to cancel last year and lost all of my money despite giving plenty of notice.Cheers, Brad

$105 sounds like jack sh#t to me for a guided tour of the high country, 2 nights free feed, and most of all the great company that usually goes with the GTG's (as our Barrington Top GTG). Glad you guys are doing all the organizing and must say doing a great job at it....Hanging to go already.. Sounds like I may need to get in line before Matt (Chewbacca) or I may miss out on a meal lol...... Cheers SteveFace lift 150 Prado V6 auto. No mods yet

I didn't take well to being questioned. I think I just felt unappreciated for all the efforts I was making & didn't want to have to post explanations as well.
Now although I was p.m'd how well I answered it, I have decided to change it.
Take2
The $85 was an estimate only based on the fee that was on the last gtg in 2012.
2 years have gone by the time of the next event & we have taken into account inflation for one.
Also after communications with 2012 gtg organisers they suggested that it shouldn't be less, for various reasons. Once it was changed to $105.00 it was set in concrete.
We won't know for some time exactly what it covers as we are unsure of what sponsors we will have & exact cost of shirts etc.
I can assure anyone that is concerned about where there $105 is going, there will likely be at least double that value multiplied by the number of attendees in value returned in way of the usual inclusions & prizes to be won.
So it's a great investment!
Now that we have that sorted, how much is a boat trip with a family of 4 & a trailer?
Wonder what they are doing with all that coin?
Ahhh well the things you do to see your old pp buddies........
Catch ya then!Last edited by Anth120playdo; 23-10-2013, 04:08 PM.

People, I believe the website has been looking good & ready for registration for some time, I'm not sure why we are not yet sharing it so you guys can register, I will try to get things rolling again next week.
Once paid, THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS, so please think carefully before you decide to register & pay.
We have & will spend heaps of time on this & don't need extra work of refunding people & re-filling spots.
Also trying to avoid genuine attendances being missed.
Once again any left over coin, will be spent on more merchandise, food or whatever the committee decides with any balance going to RFDS or similar.
