In the opinion of the committee how long do you think It will take me to build a new camper trailer and is there any chance at all I could have it finished in time for the GTG? If I am unable to get it finished on time could the committee delay the event for 6 months in order that I could have it finished

Trish thinks I am dreaming, but what do you guys think.

    Cheers Andrew
    Good question.......

After much consideration, deliberation, general discussion, research I think you can get 2 done.
I need one also, like everyone in the next 2 months "I need mine by Christmas" you know the world is going to end or something.
So better get started, what else would you like to know?
I hope I was not wrong or rude.

      • I think you should focus your efforts on development of the wing awning so I can buy one before the GTG.

        • Agree with JPH ..... You will sh#t it in as they say......and not from actually meeting/knowing you personally and being the perfectionist you seem to be (that's a good thing by the way) you will have it completed well ahead of schedule I'm sure once you have used it at the GTG you will be back home with it modifying some thing on it so it's perfect...... You will not have time mate.

Your have a backlog of orders to fill for:
              1. Sliders
              2. Rear bars
              3. Shed doors
              4. Emu wing awnings

Lift your game old man! The current trailer is just fine.

(That will learn Trish for not making me cookies......)

That is still on my to do list, having invested 5 figures in getting the rear bar to market and looking like I would be selling heaps the reality is anything but that, so I am a bit gun shy of spending more hard earned on developing new products. Everyone is keen until you ask for money it seems.

I've got mine off at the moment, beating out some dents and need to weld it up where it is cracked, might have a look at how hard it would be.

                    • I was only thinking yesterday whilst under the car, that a beefier fuel guard would be a nice addition. AJ, once 2 school high school fees are paid for next year and money put aside for the GTG, I know I'll be after a couple of your products. Sliders 1st then the rear bar. If only I had watered that money tree and kept it alive.

Please keep it relatively on topic guys..

                        • To keep this discussion on topic, I thought I would ask a question that I know will lead to petrol vs diesel debate but that is not the intent of the question.

Do we need to carry extra fuel or will some of the day trips go past places that sell fuel while we are at Talbotville for the week?

                          • Hi All,

What is the route to be taken from Mansfield to Tabotville for those who have Camper trailers?

Just would like to view it on a map and may visit the area before or around Christmas.

For everyone's info, my answers are not from the committee, they are from me to you as I understand it.

                                There is fuel in Mansfield.
Once we leave there full, regardless of which route, you won't need fuel until perhaps some time while around Talbotville.
The closest fuel is in Dargo. The trailer route should have opportunity to top up.
Please use google maps etc to see the distance & from Talbotville to Dargo.
Reccies have shown us,when in the vic high country a petrol may use up to twice the amount of fuel when compared to a diesel.
I suspect there may be fuel runs into Dargo.
                                I think it's about 45 mins away.

                                I hope that helps.
