        • Good thing it is not occuring any time soon. Large area out of Dargo is now an exclusion zone.

Are any of the drives through this area?
Depending on how badly burnt it gets they may not reopen the roads, especially if crews cannot get in to check the tracks out before the winter closures

          • From what I can remember none of these are on the list. This fire is still being worked on and i doubt the tracks will open for a while.

Good spot Chris! Don't stress too much Dave (Nema) is our man in this department and I'm sure he'll be closely monitoring any situation in the area.

              • I have a question. What happens if some of these awesome donations from our sponsors get delivered to my place and they accidentally go missing? We all know how hard it is to find something which has been left in the shed when your looking for it......

                  • I was thread searching PP and believe this is the most appropriate one to raise my concern as I may ask anything:

                    Why haven't I received a valentine gift?

                        • Just got a copy of the Hema High Country Atlas and Guide Book which is a good read. I've noticed in earlier posts that Craig's Hut and Billy Goat Bluff have been mentioned as drives we are doing. Can the committee advise the names of other tracks we are doing so I can read up on them?

                          Cheers

                          • Just wondering if there is any chance of an overnight swag trip? Wondering if it is worthwhile finding room for the swag as well as our main tent.

                            Cheers Matt.

                              Hey Matt,

I'm not sure if you are aware, but starting from Wednesday 9th, there is an option, a big day drive including Craig's hut & return to Mansfield for another night. Thursday will be a transit day for those who choose that drive.

Alternatively, if you want more driving, more tracks but not suitable for trailers, the other option is departing Wednesday morning, via Craig's hut but not returning to Mansfield! Instead an overnighter out bush, continuing & arriving in Talbotville Thursday the same time as those with trailers.

Either way, the first 2 days will be big drives. The 4 routes we have planned during our time staying at Talbotville some will be shorter, but there are a couple of big days there also. I'd would imagine you peeps will want some rest, relax, drink, social time as well.......

Personally I'd like to know how many ppl won't have trailers & will be planning on doing this drive.

So I don't think you will need to fit the swag in.

                              • Thanks #### after I posted this question I went to the website and read that there is the different options on the 9th. Guess I should have gone there first.
We were thinking of bringing a trailer but have decided it will be easier to just tent it. So for the overnighter in the bush will there be plenty of room to set up a tent?
We are getting very excited now, trying to organise the last few toys for the prado over the next few weeks.

                                Cheers Matt
