Only food waste, animal waste (that includes ours), cold ash and paper.
If the toilet is not overused the bacteria will break it down, I think these chemicals will help with this process.
Not sure yet exactly what the rules are & what effects if any to the environment. Lets find out for sure hey.

At the risk of sounding sillier than usual, When you say dump points, what do you mean? Where are they?
So do you have the green or another product?
I have the green Thetford product I use normally but for this trip I have purchased a product that is biodegrable and safe for septic tanks (which is all a long drop is). I am not sure of the name but there are products out there that do the same like bio magic which has been mentioned.
Hope this answers your question.Tasmania 2015 GTG Committee Member 2005 Prado Pilbara, Sovereign Bar, Driver & passenger weathershields, UHF TX3220, Spare wheel spaces, Lifestyle rack, Genuine front & midrow seatcovers, Genuine front & midrow rubber floor mats, ARB 47 litre fridge/freezer, Hilux washer jets, BF Goodridge A/T, Radiator protection plate, Dual battery tray and isolator, ARB 2.5m awning, Rhino heavy duty areo bars, MSA rear wheel bin, MAXTRAX

The blue Thetford stuff is really a no go for being anywhere environmental. The green is better but there is better stuff out there. I found mine at the local caravan place but there surely must be a bigger selection on the big island north of Tasmania.Tasmania 2015 GTG Committee Member 2005 Prado Pilbara, Sovereign Bar, Driver & passenger weathershields, UHF TX3220, Spare wheel spaces, Lifestyle rack, Genuine front & midrow seatcovers, Genuine front & midrow rubber floor mats, ARB 47 litre fridge/freezer, Hilux washer jets, BF Goodridge A/T, Radiator protection plate, Dual battery tray and isolator, ARB 2.5m awning, Rhino heavy duty areo bars, MSA rear wheel bin, MAXTRAX

I picked up the blue in little sachets, but I will take it back & find something suitable as from here I have learned its as good as useless to me.

In Talbotville last weekend it said in the crapper that the toilets were pumped out when full. If thats the case and its not naturally composting then using the Thetford blue toliet chemicals shouldnt be a problem?? \o/
PradoPoint GTG 2014 - Iconic High Country - Victoria

Well it's a fact that it gets pumped out.
Not composting.
So do I have a blue loo?
I will add it is well away from any waterways & would not expect any of these fluids would cause much problems, you should not put bags of crap or items other than paper & turd matter, as it can cause unpleasant problems for the poo sucker.
We will try to come up with an absolute answer on the chemical thing.
Any facts are welcomed.Last edited by Anth120playdo; 29-03-2014, 08:31 AM.
