So what are those with the bio-bag setup intending to do? If it's not a composting set up then it's definitely a no-no putting them down the drop loo. Use it a bit then bury it?

Good question and it would be good to know as I've not purchased anything yet except the little tent to put it in.

I would like to offer an Olive Branch to the Organisers, do you need some space to bring up Prizes or anything, as at this stage, I have heaps of room, either in the Prado (Second Row Seats removed and flat floor for storage) or the Tvan for carrying stuff.

Sorry to be a pain in the posterior (pun intended) but have we sorted out the question of disposing of bio bags in the long drop yet? BCF are having a member's sale the next 2 days so if I need to buy a different setup it would be nice to be able to make use of the discount.

Corine, I have read in the stink box about putting nothing but crap & paper.
It causes problems with the sucker.
So a plastic bag is likely a problem.

For those who have been to the camp site recently, what is the river like?
I'm looking at throwing the small white water kayak on top the camper if there is enough water for it.
Fishing gear will go in regardless.

So this then means no blue Thetford but green will work or anything else that fits in the biodegradable category.

Just off the phone to Parks Vic and as suggested above the toilet is pumped out, so using normal portable toilet chemicals is fine. Being that it is pumped out, throwing waste, including biodegradable plastic bags e.t.c or anything that could block or interfere with the pumping process is not permitted.

Edit: Ive since spoken to the ranger and he has also informed me that sometimes they have to pump out the stinky bio degradable long drop toilets if they get too full, so wouldnt recommend putting the bio-degradable bags in them either.

Pretty much what I thought.

Blue ok - states bio degradable.

Green better - states septic tank safe.

No big bags of crap.

I've got green now, I will use that.
