So typical of a response from you ############# and another reason we decided to not go. The lack of consideration by this committee has been obvious as even the school holidays don't overlap with most of the other states. We WERE definitely interested to go but there is more to offer in the Vic High Country than Talbotville. You should have started at Talbotville and gone the other way.

You yourself are rude and arrogant and am tired of such "flaming" and inciteful responses. As a committee member you have a lot to learn about diplomacy and tact.

Perhaps none of us liked your first post, I didn't ask them, I took the initiative to reply in a way that would annoy you, (me not the committee).
I had nothing to do with the dates, but I'm quite happy with them as I know this trip will be better fun& education for the kids than another week or 2 at school.
Sorry, you should have told us earlier, we could have run that route. NOT!

Sometimes, I am rude, I try to be nice & not rude, it doesn't always work, sorry to anyone, I'm always trying to improve my manners.

Yes I have a lot to learn, they tell me I'm just a young fella. But I think I do pretty well when I want to, but that could be the arrogance coming out again.

Do you know that a lot of the committee have young children and we are happy.
Did you want us to follow SA school holidays even though the event is in VIC.

Do you think we should of asked every one what they wanted and then try to work something out to suit what everyone else want's , like that would of worked .

Sorry you don't think what we done is what you wanted .

Hope you guys make the next one , I don't think I can as it doesn't suit me and my family but I understand that the Tasie committee has to try and get something that works best .

I think we need a direction change back to encouraging people to attend the GTG2014... Perhaps the committee would like to self-administer their replies as a group, to ensure a positive attitude is maintained?

Less than 1 month back from our simpson trip & since then we have the website up & 31 attendees paid & confirmed.
I think that's pretty good going, thank you to all that have registered & paid.
Reminder, if you have not paid, that is paid & received by tommorrow, you may loose your spot.
We will open it up & remove you from the list, until paid.

If there is anyone else that thought they paid, please check the gtg website confirmation & let me know if there's an issue.

He probably sent it with his courier pigeon, don't be surprised if it bounces when you do receive it, he spends all day every day dealing with the flack from not paying bills

You were right! I sat tight and now I'm "paid" which is excellent. We last travelled the VHC in about 2007 in a stock standard 120 complete with Grandtrek autos!! Only modification was fitment of UHF. The vehicle in its standard form did well. Kept up with larger Toyotas and the "other brand" even managed some rock steps coming down off the high plains - I put that down to excellent driving and even excellenter guiding from out front. Very happy to be in for this trip as we have some mods since then.

We're looking forward to meeting some new people who are clever enough to have Prados.

Yes, it's all just timing, those banks want to hold the coin a little while sometimes.
The stock prados do really well. People in the "other brand" are often surprised.

You will get to meet some really good people, you won't regret this one I assure you!
