Looks like I will need to pack a water bra going by the depth of those creeks as I don't have a snorkel. But it still looks like a great area to explore.Tasmania 2015 GTG Committee Member 2005 Prado Pilbara, Sovereign Bar, Driver & passenger weathershields, UHF TX3220, Spare wheel spaces, Lifestyle rack, Genuine front & midrow seatcovers, Genuine front & midrow rubber floor mats, ARB 47 litre fridge/freezer, Hilux washer jets, BF Goodridge A/T, Radiator protection plate, Dual battery tray and isolator, ARB 2.5m awning, Rhino heavy duty areo bars, MSA rear wheel bin, MAXTRAX

That being said, I highly recommend 2" lift for the trip as some of the steeper tracks have BIG HIGH conservation mounds, you just clear with a good lift, standard will scrape or get hung up.
The rock is still there, it's just smooth packed rock base, plenty of traction, so no challenge, but much safer than it used to be for going up or down in the wet.

There s one crossing in particular that has some very large rock shelves, it is a little difficult to navigate, I walked in & could only see one good way through it. I'm not sure how many but at least one of us had issues nearly getting hung up & some minor damage to a wheel so all trip leaders will have to be familiar with that one.
I think there might be less water in april.
These drives to experienced drivers will be "easy drives" but to newer less experienced will get their thrills & blood pumping many times, so get you health check from the doc before you leave home
I recommend anyone with a chainsaw brings it, both for firewood & track clearing. On one track 95% of the way through to blue rag after navigating a minefield of trees down, we came around 7 BIG trees down.
I was the only one of 7 with a saw, & only had enough fuel to clear 5 or so of them.
Lucky we took so long to decide what to do we had many other vehicles with a few other saws to help finish the job.
The point is many hands & saws makes light work. That's easier & quicker to move on & reduces the risk of having to turn around.

Looks like the last vehicle through is going to have a very wet track to contend with after 40 vehicles have been through all thos creek crossings.Tasmania 2015 GTG Committee Member 2005 Prado Pilbara, Sovereign Bar, Driver & passenger weathershields, UHF TX3220, Spare wheel spaces, Lifestyle rack, Genuine front & midrow seatcovers, Genuine front & midrow rubber floor mats, ARB 47 litre fridge/freezer, Hilux washer jets, BF Goodridge A/T, Radiator protection plate, Dual battery tray and isolator, ARB 2.5m awning, Rhino heavy duty areo bars, MSA rear wheel bin, MAXTRAX
