Driving through the surf, salt water in that video................. I will never understand the attraction of that. I did it once and hated every second of it.
Arthur Pieman is a top spot though, we only drove down the inland tracks many years ago and it was a wild place back then.

Just looking into the West Coast Wilderness Railway. http://www.wcwr.com.au/
Something we missed in 2001, it was still in repair prior to its reopening.
Beautiful scenery and the Romance of steam travel.
Some good reviews and tips here also.

Flipped over the Elders calendar to May yesterday, only to reveal a beautiful picture of the Table Cape Tulip Farm in full bloom.
A quick search resulted in another must visit after the GTG.

I wouldn't know - I never got mine...
But on topic, down in Hobart there is the East-West Track, that requires access via a key. No trailers. http://www.wellingtonpark.org.au/driving/
There is the Adamsfield Hut http://www.parks.tas.gov.au/file.aspx?id=29538
When they say 4WD - they mean locked, loaded, winch, etc.'04 120 Petrol Flinders Red GXL

Sounds good VK. Thanks for the offer and we will probably take you up on that.
We have basic plans for our 4 weeks over in tassie, but really we are going to wing it.
Im thinking we will use the gtg to get the heads up on what others are doing after the gtg and either roll along or take off on our own.
Either way the car is going to get dirty... very very dirty.HERS - KZJ120, BILSTIEN / KINGS, AMTS GEAR, RHINO GEAR, OUTBACK DRAWERS ETC ETC ETC
