The bonnet protector stops a lot of the stones impacting along the leading edge of the bonnet.

I have about 5 bonnet chips in 40,000 klms and 10,000klms of those have been dirt roads and I don't have a bonnet protector. The mounts for the bonnet protectors would have done more damage than the stone chips.

I've got a bonnet protector with no damage at all on the bonnet and I would say that if I removed the mount pads there would be no visible damage underneath either.

I got a stone chip on the way from Adelaide to Townsville - so now I will trade it in for a new 150 series :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:
