I have owed both the late 120 & now have the new 150 with a host of additional add ons.....by far the 150 has a much superior drive & level of comfort. I felt the 120 was still in the dark ages, but Toyota certainly built the 150 from the ground up (excluding the never die diesel engine d4d) happy driving!!!

Thanks for all the input guys! (resurrecting an old post)

I placed an order today for a brand new 150 series auto diesel GXL in white.

An number of things clarified my decision for me:

Very few 120s around in good condition with low mileage.

Toyota dealers are offering very good deals at the moment. The difference between a new 150 and a good used 120 worked out to be somewhere between $5000 and $7000.

It's hard to compete with a three year warranty and the new car smell.

I still think the 120 is a better looking vehicle, but some nice accessories should help the new 150 in the looks department.

Delivery was quoted as mid-November (true!) but seeing is believing - and I'm getting excited already!

      Cheers,

      Dreamer.

I ordered mine last week; Sunday, 18 September.

I've seen comments about an upgrade or face lift in late 2011 but I can't find anything official. Does anyone know anything they can share?

I went through the same agonizing decision a few months back, owned a 90 series with high k's and always loved the 120's for the looks plus the feedback from te quality of the car, I also decided to have a look at the 150's money wasn't a massive issue, I priced up a 2010 gxl 150 series, and went to put an order in, when I was told a good three month wait time at the soonest it steered me back to the 120, I was able to pick up a dec 07 Gx prado for 50k yes not cheap, only had 55k on the clock, full service history plus an extended 3rd factory warranty, so I was stoked! I must say I did enjoy driving the 150, but I do love my 120 to bits and have already used the extended warranty to it's full :-), it's nice when Toyota try and play hard ball the. You go harder, they generally roll over and show you their tummy!! I just had around 6k of work done all under warranty!

Good luck with your new 150! I'm sure you will love it like all of us love our prado's regardless of the build!

                Cheers

                Craig
