Sent you a PM
I have traded mine in 2 weeks ago. Nothing mechanically wrong with it. Has 80K on the dial, D4D Oct 06 Build (My 07) Silver VX.
Bought another vehicle as a runaround car for the 3 kids because that's all we have been doing the last few years.
Maybe another Prado later in life once the kids have grown up, the V6 Diesels are out and the ugly 150 series has been retired.Oct Build 2006 D4D Silver VX 5sp Auto
On Car - Tint, Rust Proofing, Toyota Tow Bar
Yoko Geolander G012, Scangauge II
Other - Engel MT45F-S, OZTent RV5, Goldstream Wing 1

I'd say that 80% or more of Prados spend their lives as shopping trolleys for the soccer mums and never venture off road. There is usually a good supply available in Perth but their prices are fairly high. Shows the resale value of Prados is good. Wise words offered there to take your time in finding the right one. There are heaps of ex-mining and fleet Prados available but you need to carefully check underneath for signs of salt damage. The detailers here in Kalgoorlie are pretty good at dressing up the ex-mine vehicles. Maybe look at any colour other than white. You may also find older possibly retired people selling a good honest car with low miles and regular servicing as they downsize or update to a newer model. The extra bucks to get a nice car will be worth it.Dave

safe to say whether 90 . 120 or 150. they are all great and reliable machines. although we've only had petrols it'll be a first step towards d4d id hope to say the same thing again in 3 years timeToyota Landcruiser Prado 07' update Grande

Firstly. My advice to you is be smarter with your money. If you're only planning on keeping the car for 3 years then km's aren't really an issue unless you plan to cover 300,000 to 400,000km + in 3 years. Prado's are a very reliable car so don't think it's destined to encounter overly expensive mechanical issues post 200,000km. It's not a Jeep! But then again the new Jeep Grand Cherokee would probably be back to the dealership to have faults and mechanical failures repaired for the 5th time by 20,000km. I know someone that has owned a new one for a few months and are sorry they bought it due to the ongoing electrical & mechanical problems.
Secondly. Don't buy a Pajero. It only has a 90L fuel tank and doesn't have the legs the Prado has. It's also got rear independant suspension and therefor lacks rear wheel articulation. This will get you into trouble and make ruts and really cambered & uneven ground more difficult to negotiate. It's great for onroad handling and makes the vehicle very car like when cornering at speed, but obviously Mitsubishi didn't expect many of these to be driven far from a shopping centre and had to appeal to that kind of buyer most of all.
Thirdly. Never believe a used car salesman when they're on the job. They've always been dodgy and always will be. I've laughed at the stories I was spun over the years when buying a car. They seem to know so much about the previous owner.2005 120 series V6 Grande, 2 inch susp lift (King/EFS combo), 32 inch MT’s, Safari Snorkel, rear diff lock, breathers, Light Force spotlights, UHF, dual batteries.

Just a few months ago bought an 08 with higher kilometers 130000. But as previously said, I'm not worried about killing the 4wd through kilometers. Got it for just under 39000 privately. White GXL manual D4D. Def not a mining vehicle, previous owners just had to wait extra few months for lease to end and had the 150 sitting in the driveway.
On the way to pick up car saw similar vehicle in terms of ks and age for over 10000 more at a dealership! I don't regret goin private, saved a heap and unbelievably nice condition, like brand new! Very happy with decision on Prado. the couple I bought it off were really friendly country type, just had to be patient a wait for the right one.2008 D4D 6sp Manual. Standard GXL. April '08 Build.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOO Got one.
I finally feel like a member of the elite group of Toyota owners that drive Prados. Easily the best car in it's class.
I snagged one at Toyota Dealership in Brisbane for 49,990 drive away. 2009 Turbo Diesel Auto with 70k on the clock. Ex private company owner who traded up to a new one. In very good condition.
Can I just say someone earlier said be patient and I have been rewarded for this patience. The salesman hands down gave me the best experience I have had as a customer and I would go back to him in a heartbeat.
Now I can start a Rig Build
Thanks to all those who gave me advice.

It's hard to be patient when you know what your missing out on.
I'm back in the hunt for a D4D for under $50k. For that price I'm looking at an 08 or 09 model but they have over 90 thousand kays on them. That's a lot for such a short amount of time. Goes to show that they hold their value big time.04 GXL - Red Centa dual battery, Alloy B/bar, BFG AT's, Rhino Rack commercial bars x 3, GME TX3540, TJM roof cage, Outback Ideas recovery points, LHS rear drawer, 2" Dobinsons/Bilstein lift, ARB CKMA12 air compressor, CoilRite airbags, ARB 2.5m awning, MCC Dual Wheel Carrier, Eagle Eye headlights with 55w hid lo beam.
