I voted for another prado Diesel.

However i could be tempted by the 4 door Wrangler.

I'm gunna buy another prado but this one will be mine so it will be a diesel with a 6 speed manual. That way I'll be able to siphon fuel outta the truck and let the boss pay my fuel bill....

Damo, You should enjoy dropping your car off at the dealer regularly for warranty claims, thats why my jeep went after just two years.
And you thought toyota parts were dear, Holy crap best describes jeep prices.

Just think if you buy one of them you could start up wranglerpoint.com

            I did say tempted.

It would take a lot more to get me into one than being tempted thats for sure...

Hutch, yeah I had heard of lots of issues with different models over the years. Not surprising actually.

Wranglerpoint just doesnt sing to me like Pradopoint does...

Unless Toyota completely balls up the next generation Prado, it'd have to be a D4D for me.

LC200 GXL V8 on order in Graphite for the wife. (Boat is due 9/5)

Prado GXL D4D Auto with 27000km about to be traded on it.

Prado is great - LC200 is the next level of 4WD, and I can't wait for the new Prado to come out before upgrading. Its been a great shopping trolley and it has done a couple of big trips.

Looking forward to the new cruiser...

Hard decision between another Prado diesel or LC200, like the idea of the LC but cant justify the size around town.

If we decide to do the big trip around Oz for twelve months or so i would probably go the LC

If it wasn't for the large number of rugrats, I'd be quite partial to a nicely kitted our Hilux diesel dual cab...

Don't trade.... that only helps to line the dealer's pockets... sell privately and make a killing! The demand for the D4D would have to get you top dollar with such a young car.

Then again, it doesn't sound like it matters too much to you ...

Although I haven't even got my 120 yet, I'll be trying to con the Mrs into letting me get a 200 for the next toy. This will be about two or three years away though. There should be some good used examples out there, and the 120 should still have plenty of value in it

Fingers corssed I'll have me a nice fishing boat that I need to tow around 8)

If there's no chance of the boat, another Prado will be in order. It's win win really!

                          Cheers,

Well, I'll line up for the public stoning 8) , but claim the mitigating circumstance that you can't buy a 2-door Prado in Australia. It is actually quieter than the Prado was and doesn't have the strange driveline noises (my Prado had a different noise to the clunk) when stopping. Also got folding mirrors, alarm and factory rear diff lock.

Re: What will you eventually replace the Prado with?

Ticked 200 as I guess the kids will be a lot bigger by then and we'll be doing more of the bigger trip without the camper, needing the space. Mind you, I need a well paying job between now and then.
Interesting to see if thoughts change now we have some real images of what is likely to be the new Prado. Personally I think they're now looking very much the same so that's one issue out of the equation.
