  • 2015 Altitude

    Has any one seen some competitive pricing on the new altitude? So far I have seen that it adds $4800 to the GXL's price to give a sticker price of $68,520. But given it is possible to get a new GXL for under $60k should it be possible to pick up the new altitude under $65k?
    I must admit I don't like to idea of losing one of the fuel tanks. Considering I will be coming from a 120 series it will be like loosing half of my fuel capacity! I do like the idea of getting fully electric adjustable seats though which should help with the long trips on the back. I also like the factory leather seat upgrade.
    Any thoughts on the altitude particularly around pricing?

      I like the fact that you can get access to the crystal pearl from the vx and kakadu range.

      The tailgate looks like the territory where you get dual access

        It does look like those leather seats are two tone. I had better go in for a look at my local dealer.

          Not sure what you will use it for, but for any serious touring the tank is a huge loss.

            Good luck getting a GXL under $60K, god knows I tried hard as hell and managed to get it for 60 on the knocker, drive away, now extras. And that involved ring most of the dealers in Melbourne. Only one would entertain me.

              $60,000 is still a good price I think it is possible to get a 2014 for that price or slightly better as we are well in to Feb and they are trying to clear 2014 stock to make way for the 2015 stock coming through.

                          I think the Vx is still a step up from the altitude. They are basically a GXL with some of the VX features.

                            Yeah it is. I looked at the Altitude when i got mine and apart from the leather seats there was very little in the Altitude options that i wanted or would use.
                            The rear entertainment system wouldnt get used as we dont have kids. Its mounting combined with the Moonroof made the interior roof lining low and gave me a squashed feel. Taking off nearly half the fuel capacity definately a negative. The thing that clinched it was very little leasing discount on the Altittude, got a VX for almost identical price

                              Dealer here in Perth was/is offering an after market leather job on the GXL's for $2.6k (5 seats, $3.2k for 7 seats). It included the door trim and console etc. I liked it so much I almost took it. It looked and felt better than the synthetic leather that I had in the VX 200. That way you get the leather interior and the 150 litre fuel tank. This is who they outsourced it to;
