Just to add to this thread as it was a handy guide before buying mine:

6/2014 plated new GX D4D 6-speed in white (of course), $53k driveaway from Galleria Toyota in Morley with no extras. Ended up adding the following on top of that:

Towbar: $780
Darkest legal tint: $620
Toyota factory extended warranty: $1,250

Took a fair bit of back and forth, the original quotes for the extras above were astronomical. $1,100 for the towbar, $1k for the tint, $2,200 for the warranty. Feel like I got an ok deal but they also made their margins so everyone's happy. Planning to keep the car a long time and won't do massive kms so the extra warranty actually seemed worthwhile (was originally dead against it).

Other than the tint that is pretty good prices, I would be happy with that.

I used caresales. I knew what the cars were going for all around the country and what was a fair price. I notice though there isn't as many for sale as what there was just before Christmas which was when I purchased mine.

My tip - you had to be jonny on the spot and be ready with your cash if a good deal came up. The wholesaler I purchased mine through said he could have sold it to a number of dealerships from the offers he had that came through on the day I called.

also use pickles.com.au because some good deals arose from there as well.

Hi All,
Finally took the plunge after waiting for years to get my own 150 - though I do drive a nice GXL 150 for work. Only really only owned Hiluxes and Cruiser utes in the past. This is quite a step up in the comfort stake.
2010 Kakadu TD Auto in Black. Apparently black is the new....black
Bit high on the odo @ 120k but it is in mint condition.
Came with a few extras too...Nice genuine bull-bar, tow-bar, weather shields, dual battery setup, Anderson connector out the back and some Lightforce 240HIDs.
Paid just under 50k+fees which I was happy with (and I had a trade-in which brought it down much further too). I could have gone with a GXL with less than half the kays for similar money but all the Kakadu bling was hard to pass up. I'm lovin the cool-box and the awesome suspension system
