If it is based on the Hilux and uses the same running gear then it will have rear drums.

5 Link rear end in the Fortuner as opposed to the Leaf sprung rear end in the Hilux.

80 litre tank according to the specs on the Toyota site.

I quite like the front. The rear, however, is ummmm 'interesting' & very Ssyangyong

We are looking to upgrade Trish's Rav next year, this one will definitely be in the mix. Cant say as I love the looks, but its one of the least ugly going around. I think manufacturers are striving to beat each other to have the ugliest new SUV on the market!

Front end is unique to Fortuner and different from Hilux.

                              diff lock

Also says rear diff lock as standard "The vehicle’s off-road prowess is enhanced by a rear differential lock with the componentry placed within the differential housing for greater off-road protection."

Same as one of the competitors - Mitsi Challenger

FJ Cruiser also has a rear diff lock as standard. Wonder how the sales of that is going to be alongside the Fortuner.
