special thanks to Digys, with his post and PM, there was almost no argument from the dealer. I was gunna use a broke.
I didnt think buying a car could be so painless until today.

Ended up at just under 63k for 2016 build 2.8 GXL auto with tow bar, front sensors, mats and a few minor bits. Seems about average. Also tempted to go V6 but economy a concern and 2.8 was very smooth with good low speed response.

2015 plated for 60,000 but you gotta be quick, not much choice of colours as well.

Thanks brogers for the comparison table. I've just had it confirmed by my insurance that my 120GXL has been written off following its theft earlier this month. For all the same reasons that you've listed, I'm on the market for a GX - white, auto, 5 seats. That's easier said than done here in Darwin, with just one dealer and a delivery date of late April - there's no 2015 builds left in the NT. Any advice on what I should pay appreciated. I'd like a tow bar up front and would like to see it included. I will need to commit in a week or two to ensure it gets on the boat.

Although not a 2.8 I picked up one of the last 3.0lt models similar to your request in runout for $50800 D/A if that is a guide

It's a 2015 December build. 2016 is will arrive in March.

I took a relentless negotiator with me and we spent 2 days visiting 6 dealers and numerous phone calls.
Last car i bought was at full price - I've learnt a valuable lesson this time

I also got the tow-bar, tints, all plastics shields, mats, full tank of fuel as well as the extended warranty to 6 years thrown in.


Pick up this coming Wednesday - cant wait. We plan on doing a 4 week tour in the outback this year.

Welcome to the forum! That's a good price, my local dealer wants $75K for a used 2015 with 18K on the clock. It does have the factory alloy bar on it but I wouldn't pay $4K for one of those!
