I hope all you guys with new vehicles have read this thread re out of date navigation with no hope of an update ever:
    http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...igation-System
If you agree that selling a new vehicle with over two year old navigation software and no updates available is unacceptable then please contact:

Toyota Guest Experience Centre Ph: 1800 869 682 (Mon to Fri 8.30am - 5:30pm AEST)

to ask them why this is happening only in the Australian market and when it will be fixed. I guarantee you will not get an answer.

Pretty happy with that, since my 90 series RV-6 (3.4 litre petrol, auto) cost me $46,000 in August 1998. The good price allowed me to go crazy in the ARB store. Getting the following installed: Hayman Reece towbar with Anderson plug and new Redarc TowPro in-dash brake controller, CouplerTec electronic rustproofing, Rhino Rack triple aero roof bars, ARB deluxe steel bull bar (colour-coded), ARB Intensity (21S) LED driving lights. Just under $7K installed. Getting a fully set-up kit for $60,700- I'm pretty happy about that. Need to get it through the first service before towing my caravan to Fraser Is for Easter. I'll swap over the steel mesh platform and awning from my '90. My only question- do I need to upgrade the suspension too ? ARB guy quoted me $1750 for a suspension upgrade to ARB springs/OME Nitrochargers. I run them in my 90, and they transformed the car.

Soon to pick up a White GX Prado 2.8 litre diesel auto Jan 2016 build, (5 seat version), with full fuel, reverse park sensors for $54,000. Drive away price.

Additional accessories to include: TJM Bull bar, Wynnum Tow Bar, P3 Brake controller install , TJM side steps, TJM Winch, Rhino Pioneer roof platform & platform legs, TJM front recovery points, window tinting, seat covers, H/Light protectors, Carpet mats & Sandgrabba mats, Sandgrabba dash mat, second battery/isolator/charger, cargo area false floor, Waeco fridge slide. = $7,500
    Total price $61,500 incl accessories
(Excluding comprehensive car insurance, Waeco car fridge/freezer, Hema HN7 & UHF CB radio.)
Future additions will be snorkel, awning, BF Goodrich A/T tyres and Dobinson 40mm suspension lift, driving lights)

Thanks to all on this thread who have shared prices. It gave me an excellent starting point for my negotiations. So I will now share my purchase. After some robust discussions with the dealer I ended up with; GX Prado, 2016 build, 2.8 litre, automatic, white, tow bar, floor mats and cargo mats, delivery April, full tanks of fuel, $57,000 drive away. I live in Perth. Also, I found a man on the net by the name of John Cadogan very helpful. He runs a site called AutoExpert.com.au. I commend this YouTube video to you on "how to beat the dealer". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJTi...sWtXIx&index=7

They sell those around here, a bit more plush on the inside but not by much. The engine is WAYYYY more smoother than any V6, but the fuel consumption is noticeably higher, another issue would be the lower front bumper which really limits any serious offroading work. I guess with lower fuel bills for the next 10 years, it is worth a consideration . . . .
