I've used NRMA in NSW a couple of times and they have been thorough and helpful with my questions.

About 15 years ago there was a sudden influx of 4WDs for sale in Melbourne with Queensland plates.

Rumour had it that Queenslanders knew they had been run along in the water along Fraser Island and other beaches and they were rust just waiting to appear.

It reminds me of all those particularly well priced 4bys for sale in the magazines... Contact 'Rainbow Recoveries' haha.

Whitehot Motorsport or disco tune (same building) both located at Don (Devonport).

If not they will be able to recommend someone local.

I'm looking at the vehicle service logs and there's 3 times where the car has been serviced almost 5000 kms after it should have been (20k, 40k and 60k service), is this much of a concern for the petrol engine?

The rest have been done on time

If it's only happened 3 times its not an issue and nothing to be concerned about being a petrol. It's also very early on in the engine's life so no measurable harm would be done. If it happened for every oil change for 200,000km it's not ideal in theory. Are you going to keep the car until the engine has done 550,000km? If not no need to worry.

I've used mineral grade engine oil in my petrol V6 it's whole life and for the most part left it in the motor for 10,000km between changes and the car's now done 350,000km. A few months ago I had the top of the motor off and have inspected the oil pickup screen and there was no sludge buildup or any gunk accumulation of any kind. It looked very clean inside as though it was brand new. No need for concern mate.
