This is what I have found... decided to go against the VX and beef up the GXL instead.

GXL Diesel Auto (silver), drive away - $61000. This was over the PHONE!!!

Mate any chance you could tell me what dealer this is from. PM me if you don't want to make it public.

Hopefully pick my 2010 GXL V6 in Glacier White by the end of this week.

Only inclusions are TowBar and Carpet Mats at $58000 Driveaway. Not to bad I think from what I am seing here

As much as I love Prado's, the two Toyota Dealers I went into wouldn't budge off RRP when I spoke with them about wanting to do a deal.

Given this attitude I don't think Prado will be my next car. There is no way I'm going to be paying the "Toyota Tax" when there are other good vehicles on the market that are cheaper and/or negotiable.

It does depend on the dealer quite a bit and also the location. The local dealer here (regional Qld) won't give me anything but the RRP until I say I am going to buy from them and then they will give me the 'real' price. Their view is they don't want to get into a bidding war against every other dealer in Qld. However, a dealer I have recently spoken to in Brisbane has said tell us how much you want to spend and we will see what kind of deal we can do. If you really like the Prado then I suggest you shop around a bit more.

When I bought my first Prado back in 2002, I was living in Hobart, and the local dealer would also not budge off the RRP. He had no other competition and he said straight out that he sells as many as he can gets his hands on so he has no need to discount for me. It just so happened that I was visiting Brisbane and went to several Toyota dealers who were falling over themselves to give me the best deal.

Well the deal was done today in Perth, White, TD, Auto GXL Towbar,Mats, Headlight and bonnet protectors $6xxxxx. :lol:

It's my first real 4 x4 so pretty excited. :mrgreen:

Just about to order a 2010 GXL petrol Prado, Blue Storm in colour and including towbar, headlight/bonnet protectors, cargo mat, floormats for $62,500. This price is in Tassie.

Seems like a good deal from what I can see!

Are the dealers fitting all that aftermarket gear for you? If so. I had no idea you could do that. especialy to the suspension.

Yep all fitted by the dealer and the cost is cheaper than the quotes I got for getting it all done myself.

The dealer was telling me that ARB, TJM , etc, actually go to the dealership and install the accessories there in the dealers workshop.
