I'm a couple of months away from an operation that may bring with it a sebatical of between 12 and 18 months where i'll be in no real condition to drive or be driven in the bush and possibly even dirt roads.
so ATM I'm considering selling the prado to:
*save on rego, insurance etc etc (we have another smaller car in the house)
*add $$$$ to the account to pay off debt and be completely debt free
*add $$$$$ to be sure I can afford things I need in the short term
*any other reason cause it won't be used so in reality it's probably a $$$$$$ liability just sitting there and rotting away.
I've come up with 3 options so far:
1. Keep it and put it into 'storage' in the shed/garage (given the above this may not happen, but hey - it's an option)
2. Offer the accessories I have on the car up for sale yet still keep the car till they are all gone then sell the car as a stocker . If this was to happen I recon the best way would be to get the standard bits off whoevers car my bits go to kinda like you get my bits, i get your bits plus a few $$$$$ (hope that makes sense)
3. Sell the car as is with all the gear on it.
There are pro's and con's for each (for which I'm keeping a list while I work through it and decide - or is that procrastinate!!!) and wondered if any one would be willing to add their 2 bobs worth as you might think of something i haven't
