I spoke the dealer yesterday. He stated that because I got Option Pack 1, the factory is altered to build the vehicles. He also said that they hold your order until there are a large batch with the Option Packs. Just something else to slow up delivery!

Got a phone call from the dealer and it is officially here
Arrived at the dealership today, gets fitted up with Sahara Bar & Tow Bar.

I pick it up on the 23rd May.

Then the Tech day :twisted:

Delivery pains are hell. Won't I cop some flack from the family here. I guess my new baby must have been on the same ship as yours Chuck (a boat can be put in a ship but not a ship in a boat - I think that's how me old sailor mate gets the message through my thick skull). Anyway, mine is somewhere in Oz, but not at the dealer's. I know it landed 5-6 May. Just keeping an eye on these birth notices to make sure mine isn't in the bathwater. Seriously though, I don't know how you folk can handle this waiting. 3 weeks and I'm a mess. I'm going to get busted soon, every Prado I see in a parking lot I have to go and peer in it (the privacy windows really do work eh!). Haven't seen a PP sticker on any yet in the Port Macquarie area. I think I must be known as 'The Prado Perve' to the security guards. It's so sad, I downloaded the E-Brochure from Toyota and have to have a read each night before bed. Bloody hell, what has become of me? This never happened with the Hilux's. Maybe we need a Royal Commission into whatever drug they have put in the Prado. Maybe "Grumpy Old Men' could devote an episode on this mass hysteria. I may have to cancel the few accessories I'm getting so I could take delivery a day or two earlier. I guess it will end up like the Hilux's, wash it every week for the first month, then once a year (and don't call me a water waster, I'm on tank water so can afford the luxury of an annual wash - for both the car and me).

Once you guys jump in the drivers seat you will know that the wait has been well worth it. The Prado is a sweet ride.

I was at a motor trimmers today in western Sydney and sitting there was a brank spankers not yet delivered white D4D GXL with leather. Car was from a Canberra dealer. Someone is going to have a nice week next week. Compliance plate in the front passengers door was April 08.

Maybe that's mine. I reckon Mr Toyota realised how anxious I was and decided to drop the car in Sydney en route and give me leather seats for being such a patient customer. I wonder what else he will put on for me?

Hello all, I got the call from my Toyota Dealer informing me that my new silver Prado d4d is in the yard. Order went in Feb and was due end of May. No messing around I was kept updated every 3 weeks of so...I am a little surprised at that after so many stories. Now I need to fast track the sale of my current 06 v6 Prado....happy days!

The ship's in and my Prado is in the holding yard. Only a week or two until delivery

Spent $3500 this morning at ARB on front bar, IPF spot/fog lights and Safari snorkel

I got a call from the dealer today, my Feb ordered Dune prado is here, just waiting for the goodies to be added, then smartsalary to finish there stuff, so should be able to pick it up this coming Friday, (have to go to sydney this week) oh the waiting will kill me
