Kind of along the lines of BPC, I had my Toyota Dealer try and con me out of the agreed and contracted trade in price of my car. Not my fault that my car depreciated in value over the nine months it took them to get me my damn Prado!

Well I picked it up last night
and I love it (besides me stalling it 4 times in a row trying to take off up a very steep hill because I was too scared to put it in reverse rather then 1st, and then realised I was in 3rd :lol: )
Here is the picture from in the dealership, before it even had the plates on....
And this one I just ran outside work to take the photo

Congratulations BPC,
I know what you mean about missing 1st. Luckily there is an alarm when you put it in reverse. I have found this a tad difficult to get used to. Also having 6th. I sometimes think I'm still in the Hilux and leave it in 5th. This is not a complaint, the vehicle is absolutely brilliant, best I've ever owned. If you enjoy yours 1/2 as much as I'm enjoying mine you'll be one happy BPC.

Yeah I have got used to that 1st gear already, I wasnt aware that it had an alarm into reverse until my partner drove it last night. I guess it didnt help when I saw the Sales Guy put my Prado in Reverse rather then 1st last night when he went to take it to get fuel :?Comment

I can imagine that as soon as the winch and spotties are hooked up they will be covered in mud and the car covered in scratches too. :shock:Comment

It took me just over 1000kms to have it mud brown instead of black. I'm dead sure you'll beat me with yours on that

Heh, yeah.... I friggin stalled mine 2nd turn out from the dealer as well. The spring loaded reverse was very stiff in mine for a good couple of weeks. Ain't no pansy ever driven a manual Prado! Actually, it took me a while to get the nerve up to give it a decent enough shove to get it in reverse for the first time. Talk about pumping iron!
