21/5/07 Advice production in June
1/6/07 Scheduled for production
14/6/07 In transit with pick up 4/7/07(dealer)
20/6/07 On land being prepared for transport with pick up 27/6/07 (dealer)
27/6/07 At dealers pick up by me 2/7/07 (hope so but not 100% sure)

So it has been 12 weeks since order to get to dealer's yard.

As a matter of interest I was speaking to a bloke today and he had an order for a Hilux placed on 4/4/07 (same day as mine) and his is on the water with delivery 24/7/07.

At least its not that long to go,, and I can see for myself what everyone else on forum has been raving about.

I woudn't give up yet.

Mine was showing "scheduled for production" at 1/6/07 and by 27/6/07 was in dealer' s yard- 26 days later.

If the same applies to you that suggested date of 24/7/07 would be within the bounds of possibility.
You might get a surprise over the next few days because once on the ship it took only 13 days to get to the dealers.

Update from dealer

As suspected the delivery time has blown out, thought I would share for anyone else thinking of buying the diesel, dealer is in Perth:

Ordered 24 May...

Unfortunately, Toyota is still yet to confirm the production month of your Prado. Due to a vast shortage of turbo diesel engines, Toyota is unable to cope with the huge demand for turbo diesel Prado, Hilux, and Hiace.

At this stage, I cannot confirm when your Prado will arrive. I am quite confident now that your Prado will not make August delivery, but would probably be closer to September or October.

As a side note does Toyota update Model years at the end of the year like Subaru eg. launch there MY08 in Oct 07? (Sorry this is will be my first Toyota, thanks!)
