Hi Spara - hope you dont mind, but I sort of borrowed your photo of your rig and have it on my computers desktop . My new Prado turns in mid March :? :? and I look at it (your pic) everyday for inspiration . Hope you dont mind, but your car looks exactly like mine will, with exception of the snorkel and winch (temporarily only)
If you do mind me borrowing the pic of such a nice car for my own inspiration, then I will remove it.

Well i dont believe it i finally have it what a beauty
I will post some pics tomorow after i clean it because its still got a lot of crap on the paint from the factory and is quite dirty inside but it still didnt stop me from putting 300 kms on it in 1 day.
Monday pickup was very interesting you could have cut the air with a knife,but they got what they wanted and so did i.
The car and its ride is everything i imagined it to be just awesome
I have spent all of today reading books and trying to have a conversation with the lovely lady in my sat/nav and i think we are getting along just fine. :lol:
Now all i need to do is give it a run in the sand and some outback tracks :lol: :lol:Cheers Moto

Long time no hear. 600 kms man thats like 0.5 of a kms a week,mines been used as the local taxi at the moment.
We will have to meet soon with the other W.A pradopointers with a coldy and a steak,maybe on top of the dunes at Lancelin over looking the ocean on one of these perfect days weve been having

Just read about your delay on the new purchase. Just wondering how long it took from order to delivery?
I ordered mine back in VERY early Oct '07 and it still hasn't even hit the production line yet? It's expected to be a mid-March '08 delivery. Also can anybody explain this "Toyota Tracker" I've read about? I'm thinking I need to get on board with this once it finally gets built...

Hi AJ,
There are a lot of things that seem to slow the delivery down with the popular prados. From what I can see on the forum, VX's and Grandes seem to take longer and smaller dealerships do too. Although this is no definate.
3 months appears to be common for waiting time, but it does blow out to 6 months and as some would attest even more. Even after that some have got the wrong colour interior or exterior on arrival!!!!!
Dont worry most people get what they want and are truely happy.
Hope your wait is not too long so you can join the rest of us happy Pradoers.

A lot of people buy thier mods and have them ready in the garage ready for a speedy install when it does arrive.
As for the tracking thingy on the Prado, I think it is mentioned earlier in this post, starts at page 3.07 Prado GXL, D4D manual, silver and a fridge with constantly changing beer levels.Comment

I ordered mine 31 July and recieved it 24 Dec and i do believe that things may start flowing through a little bit quicker in the new year.
I was one of only a couple on this forum to have had a bad experience and the majority have had theres delivered on time or before time so i hope you are in the latter group.
In W.A we dont have the tracking system (or any system for that matter)so i cannot comment on how acurate it is and i did as you are doing and read up on this most informative forum for all the in`s and outs of your new Prado.Cheers Moto
