YEAH! The site HAS been updated and 30/03/2008 is now said to be our latest delivery date for an order placed on 6/12/07.

Dont know if you'se are interested or not but you can get some good second hand one's on carsales. com , you can get them anywhere with 10000- 50000ks on them might be worth a look ?

I just got one from a private sale recently on the same site but it wasnt a diesel , went for the good old juice guzzling power plant V6

Finally I have good news, I have just this afternoon secured a Crystal Pealrl VX D4D 5AT. It was up @ a dealership in Proserpine of all places (I had to look at a map to get a better idea than 'up north').

So in a fews weeks its me and a mate flying up to Prosperine and putting the first 1009km (according to my TomTom) on the clock on the Saturday, then into a Brisbane dealer for the 1000km check-up.

To add to the confusion my wife has decided she wants a new Mazda 3 and compared to the Prado it could not be easier, they have tons in stock, availabe in days.

So good news all round

Proserpine is a great little spot, as it is only 20 mins from Airlie Beach and another 10 to Shute Harbour. It will be worth your while to go down for a look particularly at the marina's to see what the rich people do for a living and where all the backpackers that visit Australia actually end up.

I just checked Toyota tracking and today it gives me an estimated delivery date of 16 March 2008. I ordered it 11 December 2007, so that will make it 96 days.

And I wish I could get a tracking number from the dealer ..AAAHHHHH

I emailed and rang the dealer at least 5 times each, with an answer by phone only that it will take some time to get the tracking number. On the way home from work, I dropped in and spotted the dealer and I sat in his managers office and he provided the tracking details without issue. Seems the actual salesman was not doing his job.

Go and see them Blackbird and if the dealer cant help you, go see the dealers manager - he is bound to help. All it takes is an email and the details entered into their system.

Hi All,

I just received an email from my Dealer to advise that my 2008 Built Dune Colour Toyota Prado GXL D4D 3.0L Auto will be ready for collection on Wednesday 6th Feb.

That was only 6 weeks from date of order (2nd Jan).

Only 2 more sleeps.

Can't wait.

Now to add the extra's:

IPF 840 Fog Lights - Already Have

Delivery Times

You guys are scaring me, ordered 2008 GXL 6spd Man D4D 30 Jan 08, told wait is 3 Months!
Now I know how slow time can really go by.
Said goodbye to my beloved 17 year old 2.8 diesel Dual Cab Hilux last Thursday, now all my activities are on hold awaiting my new purchase.
looking forward to the increase in comfort and power, will be interested on how much gear I can get in the back otherwise may have to look at trailer options.

Hi Stuart - luck must be on your side. The standard wait is from 3 months with the lucky few who get their cars early. This is mainly due to dealer swaps and you must be oh so lucky to have what you wanted available from another dealer who more than likely had a cancelled order.

I'm jealous......can I have a drive! :LoL

Monty i can relate to you - i ordered my prado on the 8th of september last year and after a lot of stuffing around i found out to day that we MIGHT be able to pick it up come 18th of Feb....How did every one get on with the new stamp duty charges....

Mine was bulit for me and not a cancelled order, as I was given a build date, about 1 week after ordering. I also stated and was invoiced for an 08 built, not an 07 bulit vehicle.

I now get my Prado in 11 hours.

Fantastic news...my Prado is due for arrival 27/02/2008, so only about 3 weeks away....

Got the web tracking details today and checked out the status. It's on the boat, steaming to Australia as we speak.

If I'm lucky I'll have the new vehicle for Easter.

Hi All,

I got mine!!

Took delivery of my Prado at 12.15pm today from Le Mans Toyota in Deer Park.

Now all I need to do is to setup the phone on the Bluetooth Head unit and start spending money on aftermarket products.
