General consensus is there wont be a decent tyre in 265/55R19 for some time... years is the feeling..
Very Crappy!

ideally would prefer 17", and i already have FJ with 17" all terrains, so in the ideal scenario keep 19" for city work and just swap to 17" from FJ for long distance travel

but with new Kakadu legally i will be limited to go down only 1 size from 19" to 18" and not sure if 17" will clear everything, with FJ offset i think it should .
will see in 6-12months when i get it

none of the dealers have current Kakadu in stock so i couldnt check tyre placard. if it really says 17" that would be amazing !!!

but VX could be different, it doesnt have KDSS , i was told KDSS might not clear 17" wheels on Kakadu.
I only found previous generation second hand Kakadu at the dealer and their tyre placard had only 1 wheel size 18".
maybe i should change my order to VX instead of Kakadu to give me more tyre options, but really liked the KDSS/airbag combo

Wheels like those would not be particularly suited to driving on rough roads with lowered tyre pressures. Toyota door seals are pretty good, I was thinking that not many owners of vehicles (that have 265/55 R19 wheels) would drive in places that would test them. No offence intended.
Im not gonna use it as a rockcrawler or submerge it in a deep mud up to the bonnet, like a lot of P-platter Patrol drivers do
i would use it for travelling outback, camping trips etc. , towing camper trailer in the future
dont mind getting it dusty and dirty
