Mine picks up both but in saying that 72,73,74 it won't pick them up! It sees them and stored them but I can never get them to work but all the other channels work. I'm not sure why some stations are clear and some aren't sbs and channel 2 I can anywhere

Do they have better towers??

Can anyone tell me if dual function is possible? By this I mean whilst the GPS is running, can music still be played? I'd like the GPS to cut in when directions are given then revert back to iPhone/Radio/CD.

Also, can someone post up the aftermarket antennae for digital TV.

Yeah it does the whole dual thing with the GPS the radio cuts out when it's giving directions and then goes back to music or whatever..

I will jump on eBay and post the link to the after market aerials I used

This is the same as the one that I got but I didn't pay as much as this. I would suggest you look around eBay a little bit more as you can get them cheaper. They do work really well and I put one on either side of the rear windows in the very back and they seem to be fairly hidden away (my windows are tinted)

anyone tried playing movies from a USB? if so what format did you use? I can't seem to get anything to play from USB, everything comes up as unsupported file format :-(.

Hi DavenReef - Did you ever get your rear camera in. I would like to get one of the units primarily to assist the misses in not backing into somthing. Those stationary poles can be an issue. Probaly install myself. Not sure how involved teh install is. Presumable you need to run the cable from the back door to dash?

G'day All,

First post other than an introduction so apologies if I stuff something up.

I saw these units a few months ago and really liked the look of them but really want Oziexplorer. Just wondering from those who've done so what was involved in putting Ozi on the unit? Do you just need to copy some files on to an SD card and off it goes or is there some behind the scenes fiddling about to get it to work?

Got mine installed, having no luck with it!
Tv reception is terrible but I expected that, ordered a new arial.
It won't recognize any cd/DVD, it takes them in alright, but shows up nothing on the menu.
Same thing with USB, can't get it to recognize anything from the front or rear port.
Let's see if they can fix it for me.
At the moment I'm regretting not buying the genuine toyota one with the smaller screen....

Hello all
i would like to give everyone my opinion of an ebay DVD GPS which i have recently fitted and removed tonight. It is a piece of sh*t, hence why i have taken it out. i have had nothing but trouble from the start. when i first recieved it they forgot to include the ISO plugs so i had to wait another week to get them. Ok here are some of the issues i have encountered.
1-very slow software
2-IPOD cable socket is faulty which sometimes affects the operation of the IPOD through the unit.
3-Rear camera is upside down sometimes.
4-volume is always way too loud when you turn it on, even if you turn it right down before switching the ign off.
5-Overall quality just isnt there
thats all i can think of right now so i am now searching for a replacement either pioneer or kenwood im thinking. you pay a bit more but well worth it i think for the quality.
oh and i am getting a full refund for the unit i bought from ebay which is really good.

seems to work fine on my unit if i copy it to the SD chip I have in the front of it, mpg works but mp4 doesn't. Can't get anything on the usb to work though

oK so I got movies /video to work no prob on USB by converting everything to .VOB, which makes sense as that is the DVD format. GPS failed on me on a recent trip to Exmouth and haven't been able to get it to work since;-(. tried contacting the seller with no reply at all. Very dissapointing. Anyone had success in getting a response from the seller? I'd love some contact details other that ebay. next step is buying a new Antenna to see if that is the problem.
I haven't installed the rear cam yet, don't really see it as a necessity, although hooking up the camper trailer would've been easier on my own! I'll get around to it one day. Still a great low budget unit and I'm very happy with it/besides the sat nav now telling me i'm in Brisbane!

I just bought the newer version of this unit which has only just been released in the last few days, should be here next week so looking forward to rippin out the dash and getting it in there! I'll keep all posted how this unit goes, hopefully they've ironed out a few bugs. The only way I managed to contact the seller was through ebay aswell, they got back to me pretty quickly but that was before they got my dollars.

Well I just saw the newer version and I can't help myself! If anyone is interested in buying my old head unit which cost me $700 under 3 months ago let me know as I am about to order the new one!!

Nothing wrong with the old one and hasn't got a mark on it
