Genuine Toyota 120 series air filters - $12

Hi guys,

I just recieved in the post my $12 air filter from a bloke in hong kong -

XBUS STORE is the name of the ebay store.

I was expecting a cheap no nome filter, but to my surprise it is a genuine Toyota filter - part # 17801-30040

The filter was $12 + $5 postage. Totalled $17 which in my view is a bargain.

I question myself if it could be a fake, but i really doubt it.

If I were to perchase again, I would confirm the brand before paying... you never know he might have a contact in the factory!!!

I hope you all get onto this bargain!

Does it have the felt precleaner on the front? The picture on ebay dosn't indicate that it does.

My factory toyota ones don't have a pre cleaner... Sigh..

I got one from these guys for the 90 series. It certainly appears to be the real deal, if it's a fake - I can't spot it. Genuine Toyota box, labels, denso printing, part no.s and looks to be good quality.
They did send me the wrong filter first time but after some convincing they admitted their mistake and sent out the right one. They actually had the cheek to ask me to hang onto the wrong one and they would let me know where and when I should post it to their next customer! Good luck Wang. I'd definitely give them another go though.

Sure is. And if it looks the goods ill order another three for future servicing. I paid around $60 for a non genuine last time.

The toyota part number for the filter with the precleaner is 17801-30080.

Just recieved another 2 filters today... short of buying a filter from the local Toyota dealer for a comparison, I have no doubt about it, they are definatley genuine.
Genuine Toyata box, genuine number and excellent quality.
I have compared these ebay filters to an old Cooper filter i had in the shed. The Cooper filter has 23 rows of White guaze filtration webbing and these ebay ones have 30... More filtration in my view.
Also the Cooper white guaze looks a bit fluffy and soft, the ebay ones are not fluffy and the guaze seems a bit stiffer.
The last thing is these ebay air filters have the id number '17801-30040 >PP-TD30<' on the filter housing.
Everything, after buying 3 of these now, tells me these are genuine filters.
I have tried to post a pic to show you all what I mean but cant work it out...
Risk the $17 and see for yourselves....
