The access in from north of Devils Marbles took approx. 2 hours. It's 165km either way you go in from Stuart Hwy to the turn off to the water hole. The road is generally pretty good although I would recommend a pressure drop to smooth out the corrugations. There's some nice water around Kurundi station too. We drove into the waterhole and then did the Frew Loop the next day from the waterhole across the range to the Kurundi Road. That was reasonably straight forward and took about 2 hours to complete which included stopping to take heaps of photos. You'd want minimum of 3 days there I reckon. Don't take the trailer/camper over the Frew Loop though.

Managed to get to the Old Policemans Waterhole on our recent trip..... We came in from the Sandover Hwy, then onto Binns Track coming into the Southern end via Hatches Creek Abandoned (Tungsten/Gold) Mine. We turned onto the Frew 4wd Track and followed this around to the Policemans Waterhole...... I got to say.... the weather we had was not good as it was VERY windy, with our Tent being blown over twice thoughout the night on the night b4 we got to the waterhole....Upon reaching the waterhole the wind was still blowing with Dust blowing up every where. We stayed the night with the Tent in amongst the trees to shield the tent. The following day, the weather conditions failed to improve, resulting in us leaving with the feeling that we probably wouldn't return back here in a hurry..... As I said the weather was against us and I'm sure it's a nice place normally, but our journey along the Finke River Gorge 4WD track was by far a better place and would heard back there in a instant.....[I]cheers..... I'd have to agree... there's nothing hard about the track.... it's just rocky and slow going, that's all....
