i initially tried to find black rims in offsets 15-20p, but struggled, black rock wheels had nice steelies but only 0 offsets, they maybe around but i ended up getting alloys instead, although still +8 offset.

Try king wheels or dynamic....dynamic definitely make a +25..... They fit with only minimal rubbing with a 2" lift

Looking for black steel sunraiser style wheels in 17x8 with a +20 offset. Does anyone have these or know of what brand makes them? I have been looking around a bit and can only find +25 and +10(illegal).

Hello there, I'm wondering a 18" x 9" +10 offset rim with tires BF 265/65 R18 can fit on my prado 150 series? will it comes out from fender a lot?

In my search for wheels I found some others that suit the 150 series:

King Rebel 17x7.5
King Rok 17x7.5

Allied Dragon 17x8

These come in +20 offset so all good for the 150.

When the wife decided she liked the patrol rims, I wondered about if anyone had done this (and also figured there would be a lot of crap thrown my way if I did it). I too will be watching to see if this is viable (and how it looks).

Mind you, she has decided she also likes 5 different wheel types since then as well. Lucky we aren't in a hurry for a new set of wheels/tyres at the moment, as I'm sure it will change again.

Watch the centre bore on the Nissan wheels, you will need hub centric adapters.

So, and correct me if I'm wrong, Patrol wheels on a 120 GXL should give a reasonably good increase in track, and improve internal clearance by around 13mm. Has anyone successfully used these?

This is good for comparing rims alone but just comparing rims can be misleading. If you use this calculator to compare a 17x7.5 +30 rim to a 17x9 +20 rim it tells you that you have 9mm less inner clearance at the rim with the +20 offset. However once you add the same size tyre to the rims you actually have more inner clearance with the 17x9 +20 at the tyre as a result of the offset.

In reality any rubbing will occur at the tyre so a calculator that also takes tyre size into account gives you the full picture:

I'm confused...............the diagram shows that the wheel can have a pos or a neg offset but the list refers to ET ...........What does ET mean please ?

If the Patrol rims are a 17x8 in a +10 offset with PCD of 6x139.7 then yes to your first two questions. I don't know of anyone that has actually fitted Pootroll rims to a 120 Prado.

Unfortunately the offset of +10 would make them illegal on a 120 series in NSW without an engineering certificate. The maximum track increase allowed is 25mm and the standard wheel has an offset of +30 which means that the biggest legal offset here is +18 (technically +17.5): http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registrati...vsi09_rev4.pdf

245/70R17 tyres are not recommended for a 6x17 rim, but there is still decent rubber available. Try a set of Bridgestone D697 225/70R17 LT instead, search this forum and you'll find many testimonials for the Bridgestone tyres. You'll also find many people that have successfully fitted GXL rims to a GX

You may also want to consider some 7.5x17 genuine Toyota steel rims which retail for about $140ea new from Toyota and you could reuse your current wheel nuts, or any aftermarket rims in a size and offset that will suit the particular tyre you want to run
