Could explain my 17.2L per 100 on the old V6 prado running 75 profile instead of 70..I am buying a second set of steel rims to run muddies on and keep the alloys and grantrecks for round town on road stuff. Yeah havnt touched the MAF sensor yet, cleaned it on the old 90 V6. I have joined that fuelly but dont know how to get the link under neath like other people have on here ?? Regards Steve

It is also a good idea to cleam the MAF sensor to get better fuel economy.
Join fuelly and have your fuel economy appear in the signature to get a running average.

And another thing, if you run larger diameter tyres, you need to account for the % change in distance travelled. A larger tyre will cover a longer distance per revolution than a smaller tyre. However, the odometer doesn't know that you have larger tyres. This can make your fuel economy go up more than expected.

On a related issue, putting larger tyres will use more fuel as you need more energy to spin a bigger tyre around. But once you corrected the distance, the fuel economy won't be as bad as it looks.

Open a new internet explorer window and log into your fuelly account. On the left sdie, under My Garage, click on your car.
Then look on the left side again where it says

Want to share your fuel economy on forums, blogs, or social networks? Try a Fuelly badge:

Click on Get your own Fuelly badge
Scroll down to the small banner and copy the text for BBCode

Now go to the User Control Panel on Pradopoint.
Click on Profile tab
Click on Edit Signature
Then paste into the box
Click Submit

You should now be able to see your fuelly badge in your signature for everyone of your post.

its bloody gone again grrrr If I click on this under options ""Attach a signature (signatures can be altered via the UCP)"" It works but everytime I reply the tick in the box is missing and have to keep ticking it all the time.. How do I get this to stay with a tick ??

You're just trying to increase your post count.

It looks like your signature has been turned off by default. To turn it on as default, go to User Control Panel, Board Preferences tab, Edit Posting Defaults, tick Yes to Attach my signature by default.

Your signature will now be appended to the end of all your posts.

Instead of Submit, you could have hit Preview to test.
