      G'Day Hutch,

Does sound great. I live in the northern suburbs, Boondall in fact.

I dont mind driving somewhere to get it done.

I would only give them one chance, then again that would be all it took for them to scratch it. But if they are looking after your cars well, should be no different.

My wife keeps telling me it is ONLY a car, and yes it is in 3-4 years will probably get rid of it depending on circumstances. It is just my pride and joy and I have always looked after my things.

Maybe I expect to much and worry about the small things as well. Hmmmm

      Let me know.

      Regards,

      Rob

Rob, because i know them well my car always comes back in better condition than i left it, i have had some wopper scatches on my car from four wheeling and these guys always manage to polish them out for me.
All the stuff they use comes from germany you cannot buy it in australia.
Mine will probably be down their tomorrow afternoon if you want to have a look as we have got back from Rocky today, 1450 klms of bugs and XXXX all over it.

If you tell them you know me they will really look after you. tell them you know the Bossman(that's what they call me) with the blue prado and Black calais.

        Robert

PS they aren't the easiest people to understand but they know how to clean a car.

MT, they are wanna Go car wash at the Lutwyche shopping centre second level. Price will depend on condition of the car, as mine has been their since new i pay around 45-50, but it is like a mini detail what they do compared to others so if the car is dirty ie door jams, under the guards etc which they clean, first wash could a lot higher. These guys will do high standard work so if the car needs more attention they will charge you, but if you are regular they will really look after you.

            Darkhorse,

While it could have been handled better you can understand the carlovers predicament when people have probably stopped using even their services (even with recycling) and if the dry goes for longer they will potentially get shut down. To him it's not the $2 soap, its the extra $5-6+ from you to brush and wash it and then the rinse job on top.

I just refuse to use them because I think for all the gear and gimmicks, it does a poor wash job compared to a hand wash.

At worst $44 buys a enough litres of water from Woolies, Coles etc to do a handwash on the front lawn. With the kettle, you could heat the water too and have a cuppa as you gaze on the shine.

Hutch thanks for the info, really appreciate it.

AJ, I agree with what you are saying, just dont accept the way he handled it.

My father said the same thing, go to woolies and buy the big containers of water to wash your car with. If someone has a go at you show them the receipt!

              Will think about my options.

              Regards,

I cant help but say the owner of the carwash has a right to ask you not to use a bucket and detergent there. You need to respect that they have invested a lot of money on the facility and it doesnt cater for what you want. Remeber that yhe recycling systems they use are expesive and can be damaged by chemicals etc that are not compatible. That is probably one reason why he was not happy. The other is that he probably had to ask you more than once.

All that aside, from what I have heard anyway, is that there is that much SODIUM (SALT) in the recycled water that they use, that if you knew that, you wouldnt wash your car there anyway.

Get a rainwater tank...highpressure cleaner.. and do it at home. I dont think he needed to speak to you like that, but I guess if it happens a lot and it has cost him a lot.. well maybe he's got a few good reason to be short about it...

Theres always 2 sides to the story
