Took a hit in the side on the Queens birthday long weekend from a Nissan Patrol. Actually it wasn't the Patrols fault - a goose in a falcon decided he didn't want to stop a red lights and ploughed into the side of the Patrol which in turn ploughed into my 120. Probably lucky that the Patrol took the full impact. Anyway, she's been in the repairers since the 13 Jun with no word on when I'll get her back. Seems that spares out of Japan is the problem. The repairer was saying he had a vehicle in shop for 3 months waiting for spare parts. Seem getting spares out of Japan post tsunami is near impossible. Anyone else finding this?

Just got my Prado back after it was backed into a gate. It only required a new rear bumper, fog light/ reflector, tail light, and a couple of brackets and this was all repaired in 5 days. It sounds like depending on what is required and if they are available in the country depends on how long it is going to take.
If the Prado is legal to drive then there is no reason why you could not still have it till the parts arrive.Tasmania 2015 GTG Committee Member 2005 Prado Pilbara, Sovereign Bar, Driver & passenger weathershields, UHF TX3220, Spare wheel spaces, Lifestyle rack, Genuine front & midrow seatcovers, Genuine front & midrow rubber floor mats, ARB 47 litre fridge/freezer, Hilux washer jets, BF Goodridge A/T, Radiator protection plate, Dual battery tray and isolator, ARB 2.5m awning, Rhino heavy duty areo bars, MSA rear wheel bin, MAXTRAX

The vehicle looked as though it could be driven, but I rang my insurance straight away and they said definitely don't drive it and to let the towies (first on site - 5 minutes after the accident incidently!)take it away. Unfortunately it wasn't just the door but the rear window as well, and with all the wet weather we've been having up here I didn't want the old girl turning into a bath!2016 200 Series GXL, Turbo Diesel, ARB BB, GME3520 UHF
