Hi All,
So I have been lurking here for a while now and getting lots of ideas.
Im in Melbourne and i purchased a new 150 GXL D4D in December 2011 as my Christmas Present.
Colour: White
Accessories: Ironman Foam Cell Shocks and 2" lift. Cooper STMaxx.
Wishlist: TJM Bar, TJM Side steps, TJM Winch, TJM Underbody Protection, Breathers, GME UHF - These will go on in the next month as soon as I can go without the car for a few days.

Hey Guys, name is Jay and I live in Maffra, Vic with the missus and 2 boys. We recently invested in a 2001 VX Prado and we are loving it. Although not as good as my Land Cruiser 75 series, its a great family rig. We love 4wd and hunting, so we are gonna be spending some cash on it as the places we wanna go it will need it. We are putting a bilstein lift kit with Maxxis M76 Bighorn tyres. Not sure on what brand to go with for the bullbar as of yet. Low mount winch, not sure of that either lol. Sthil chainsaw, breathers all round and for now thats bout it lol.
We took the far back seats out as we dont need them and it frees up a bit more room to fit the rifles in. Its a family bush rig car.
So as said we like 4wd as much as possible, love our hunting and just pissing for the weekend camping. Very outdoor family. We are pretty basic in what we take, as we like to scrub it, not camp like we are at home lol.
We are pretty much the sort of family, that if someone says it cant be done, we will deffinately try it just to prove it can be hehehe, and if we dont succeed, we have fun trying lol

Welcome to all the newbies. For those in Vic, maybe next year if the GTG is held there we might get to put faces to some of you should you be able to attend. And should it be held in Vic, the back of Rawson holds some pretty good spots so that might be one place to go.

G'day Folks,

I managed to acquire a tidy 95 series (2002) GXL turbo diesel only 142K on the clock with full service history.
Had it three weeks now and I've been trolling through Pradopoint for a week, great to see loads of interesting info from knowledgeable members. Already had advice on a couple of issues (thanks again to those who contributed).
My Prado is fairly stock at the moment and as with most of you I have a wish list. Aim is to set up a family tourer for weekend camping trips and longer adventures in the great outdoors.
The family and I live in Adelaide and we like the Northern Flinders/ Gammon Ranges and the Murray River up past Renmark.

Hi all.
Been an unofficial lurker for a while now but have bitten the bullet & joined.
We have recently moved to Brisbane & I thought it'd be good to know those who will likely end up rescuing us on the beach. . .
We have a black 120 Grande v6 that's as stock as the day it rolled off the showroom floor.
If I had a wish list I'd have to seek permission & we all know seeking forgiveness is much less painful.
Looking forward to catching up somewhere away from work.

Hi All
Been lurking around for a while now used to own a 2000 TD gxl prado and after 5 years of reliable service thought it was time for an upgrade. Decided to go for the new 150 TD in metal storm but have to wait 3 months fortunately I work away so time goes quick and will receive it late next month. Mods in mind are standard at this stage getting alloy bulbar and toward fitted by dealer then may look at driving lights possibly led's, dual batteries, maybe exhaust and performance chip. This forum is a very good resource for modifications and support hopefully I can give input as much as asking questions.

I'm Darren, and have just joined up.
I purchased my Prado new at the end of 2008 and love it. It's my 3rd Toyota, but 1st Prado.

Accessories: ARB Deluxe Bullbar, IPF Extreme spotties, GME Tx3340 UHF, Toyota tow bar, Hayman Reese electric brake unit, treg hitch, HEMA Hn5i GPS, Mud Mats, ARB 90lt fridge, Toyota roof rails
Wishlist: Winch, Dual Batteries, draws/fridge slide.

There are not many mods on my 120 series, but I've just booked in for an ARB suspension upgrade which I'm pretty excited about, so roll on the 27th Sept!! I am also considering changing over to a set of 265/70R17 Cooper ST Maxx tyres after running BFG 265/65R17 A/T's for the last 90,000kms. We will see how well they will fit after the OME suspension upgrade........

I also have a Tambo "Omeo" camper trailer, and love the bush & fly fishing (I guide part time).

I've enjoyed "kicking the tyres" of the forum, and there are certainly some talented people here, with some amazing home built mods!
