    • G'day Con and welcome along. This place is really addictive and, if you're into doing some of your own mods on your Prado, is an absolute gold mine of tips and tricks.

      Enjoy.

      Cheers

        • Hello to you all,

My name is Daan, married with Angelique and we have a little daughter Megan , allmost 7. We live in a small village in the crowded Netherlands.
We just traded in our Subaru WRX for a LandCruiser 120VX 3.0D, or the Prado as they call it on the other side of the planet, getting delivered next week.
We planned a 1 month trip to Morocco next year, and Norhtern Russia or Iceland the year after.
Allready planning and buying some (un)usefull things and modifications for our trips, like: 4WD training, Extra battery, compressor, AT tyres, roofbars with Hannibal rooftent, small liftkit, .......
Will be needing some advice from you regarding campworthy making of the Prado. The Prado is not so common as the Defender for example here in Europe.

          Cheers,

          Daan

              • Hi everyone!

I'm from Spain and I own a VX auto bought in 2005. I've been reading you for quite a long time, learning a lot of course.

I've been quite active participating in a Forum very similar to this, foro.kdjoteros.com, till I find this pradopoint.

Some modifications in place: BF 265/70, Lovells springs, On Board Air system, dual battery setup, rock sliders, roof 12" DVD monitor, park assist, and some others...

It's a real pleasure being around.

                    • Thanks for the welcome!

The Arctic versions are great. 8)

We will pick it up Saturday, I will make some pictures.
Some extra's have been installed already: Alarm, Park Distance Control, Tow hook, Webasto stand heater with timer and remote control. It is still on Michelin LTX M&S tyres but will put it on 265/70 AT tyres later on.

                      Kind regards,

                      Daan

                          • New owners of a Prado

                            Hi all

We got our first Prado yesterday and l drove it for the first time today (DH finally let me) and l love it.

After having a 91 Patrol this is a dream.

                            It is a 2003 Prado
                            Petrol
                            Auto

                            We are in Melbourne.

Any ideas where we can get a roof basket/roof rack with sides? And a bull bar?

                            Renee

                              • Do I qualify?

I don't own a Prado, but have just ordered one to replace a '97 Pajero. Nearly bought a Discovery, but too many bad reports. The vehicle we've ordered is
Prado Grande D4d auto; crystal pearl
                                Tow bar, allow bull bar.
                                delivery: Feb/March 2008!

Anyone got ant recommendations on good general purpose driving lights? Also interested to hear reports on the usefulness of the grande adjustable shocks.
