  • Hey guys,
This is my family wagon/tow car and it has been a very reliable and dependable vehicle. It's my first Toyota and I have owned it for 7 or so years now. I recommend it to everyone I know and the most that has gone wrong with it is a flat battery and worn out suspension.

    Model: 120 GXL Manual Diesel
    Year: 2003
    Colour: Gold
Accessories: Toyota sidesteps and roof rails, BFG tyres - it is primarily a family car after all so nothing too awesome here.
Wishlist: no more money to be spent on it as trading up to a 150 series soon.

We are moving up to Cairns in the next month and looking forward to securing a 150 and doing some exploring up north.

Glad to be here and I am sure I will learn a lot from everybody.
    Thanks very much.
    xb

      • Hi everyone, Just bought a new 2014 Gxl D4D in my fav colour - white. My first Prado. I've been in the world of Nissan for few years in a patrol and R51 pathfinder. Had land cruisers before that and have come back to Toyota mainly based on reliability and price point. I have no extras yet but would like to lift it a little to help in deep sand and ruts, also something to mount my spotlights on would be good. Anyway that's me, thanks to everyone who is contributing to the wealth of knowledge contained here.

                • Hi All,

Newbie from Tassie here, thinking of getting myself a Prado, and thought i would get all the inside info

Current ride is a 4" lifted Brumby on 30's, just got a roof top tent, and think its about time to upgrade to something a little roomier!

                  • Welcome JohnnyT, have to say that's the most unusual setup I've seen. You won't know yourself going from a Brumby to a Prado, best of luck with your search :-).

You crow-eaters love your Valiants. I understand now although you draw a long bow between the Val and a Brumby.
