Hi All,

Have been well and truly hooked by this site since I stumbled accross it while doing some online research on buying a Prado.

Thought I better introduce myself and take the opportunity to thank you all for the information and tips I have picked up along the way. I have gone to post a couple of questions previously but have so far been able to get the answers I needed via the 'search' function. (That should make TP happy ) A great forum and incredible resource for people looking for no bull, real life information.

I have on order (due mid to late June) a Silver Ash GXL D4D Auto, Option Pack 1, Colour Coded ARB Deluxe Winch Bar with Fog Lamps, 5xCooper ATR's, Towbar,Window Tint, Headlight & Bonnet Protectors - I can't wait to get it dirty.

Once I get it I will be adding some SandGrabbas, GME UHF, Fatboy globes, Bilstien/Ridepro 50mm lift with poly airs, PP sticker and some IPF 900's of my previous 4wd that I want to do a HID conversion on. That should keep me broke for a while

I am located in Rouse Hill in Sydney, am married great woman who understands my need for toys, we have have 2 kids - daughter 7 going on 28 and a 5 year old boy. We get away as often as we can, towing Jayco Outback Swan. Currently driving V6 Petrol Jackaroo that has been a great vehicle.

First thought about replacing the Jackaroo with a Prado after seeing a great looking, lifted dark grey model getting around town. Only recognised it as Byrnsie's after seing photos in a couple of threads here on PP.

Hi Prado Gurus!!!!

Yessss.. finally i am a Prado owner!!!

Model:- GXl / Petrol 4L V6
Year:- Feb 2008
Colour:- Black
Accessories:- Colour coded wheel cover, Tint, towbar and plan to add many in future!!

After reading so much about Prado's in this site, my focus was to buy one!! now i have it!! so thanks to you all in this forum i can now start this amazing Prado experience!!

Will keep you updated with what i intend to do with my beauty!! Explore the great outdoors!!!

Introductions

Fellow PradoPointers,

This is my introduction and my first post.

I reckon I have looked at virtually all of the topics on this site and I must say it has made my transition from 2wd to 4wd so much easier. I think I now have enough information to make reasonably sound decisions when I deck out my 2003 Turbo Diesel Grande which I purchased in March. It had only 56,340kms and in pristine condition. so much so a neighbour who knows 4wds backwards thought it was new or near new. Love it!!!

I now have my list sorted into must have, should have and could have.

I have purchased the camping gear so I can get away for weekends. Last weekend we did the Border Ranges trip in the Dirty Weekends book. Very wet and muddy and I am pleased to say my wife just loved it. So much so we are off this weekend to do another trip down to Tenterfield via the dirt roads to play golf. No longer is a trip somewhere limited to the highway.

I am kitting out the Grande for touring starting with a driving course, a few more dirty weekends, some tag alongs and some PP outings. I am only 2 years away from retiring from the military and then it is away to wherever I want to go YEEEHAAA.

For some time it will be more absorbing information from you'll and try to figureout where to start from now that I have it!! Reading through the archive of information I figureout that i have a long way to go.. Small steps at a time!!!
