      Hi all.
Have been getting great information from PPoint for sometime so I should intro myself.
Grey!! Had my Prado since new-no problems(Toyota!)
Setting off over Simpson again end of July. Have done it before in my old Hilux Diesel D/Cab (great time)
This time I will be travelling with 5 other cars- 3 novices.
In setting up for the trip I have install Engel slide with 40l Engel, had fitted 5 new BFG AT 265/65/17(Will carry old tyre on rim as 6th),sand flag mount and BushrangerT/bar recovery hitch and 4.75T D shackle.Currently making drawers for the rear and got my roof rack back from son-in-law!

This week she(not the wife) goes in for EFS Suspension (40mm lift), dual batteries with smart start and front recovery points.($2125-fitted)
Will post lift results in suspensions later.
Just before the trip my mate and I will take out 2nd row of seats and install flat floor to carry extra gear.(maybe a can or two).

Keep up the good work on site

I just never seem to get to this thread as much as I should but nevermind I will just say welcome to all the new members and hopefully I will catch up with some of you around the traps in the future. We seem to be able to catch some PradoPoint weekend trips in other states occasionally so you never know. We have some great members here who really go out of their way to help people out and go out on great weekend trips that others are welcome to attend.

We are having our first true annual GTG coming up in a few weeks out in the Red Centre and hopefully it is something that we can build on in future years.

                  Cheers

Welcome to the forum Scott. Your rig looks nicely decked out. When you purchased it was it up to this point or have you done any thing yourself?

As Paul said there are plenty of good people here to help you and the forum in now literally packed full of more info than the Encyclopaedia Britancica!

Seems that the Cairns crew keeps on growing.

                      Hi all,

My name is Grant, I've been a member for a couple of months and decided to make my first post. I live in Brisbane, Queensland.

I have had my Prado RV 90 Series since new, my wife and I love it.

Model: Toyota Prado RV (poverty pack) 2.7lt Petrol
Year: 1999 (purchased new in 2000)
                      Colour: White
                      Transmission: Manual

Besides the alloys and Cooper ATRs the beast is pretty much standard.

We have a Camel off road camper trailer and get out as much as we can. Love the national parks and beaches around south east Qld.

Have a 2 and 4 YO who we are encouraging to love the great outdoors.

We are a one car family and think that the Prado has been the best car decision we have ever made.

Our plan was to keep the car for 10 years and that time is now up. Looking to upgrade to a new GX or GXL, Auto TD in the next 6 to 8 weeks so I'm sure to be asking a couple of questions over the next few weeks.

                      Cheers

                      Grant

                          Greetings all,

i am new to the forum and just wanted pop in a few details.

We have recently bought a very standard looking 2006 petrol prado. So far I have the ARB bar installed, winch is on and the cargo barrier is in and I am halfway through putting in the dual battery system (tray is in, just about to start getting the battery and the controller installed).

i have bought springs and shocks for a 50mm lift which i will do in the next few weeks (with some help from the post that Chippy has uploaded) and then i need to start the storage system/fridge box in the back.

anyway, just wanted to put out a quick thankyou to everyone who has posted info on here, you have already saved me thousands and i hope that i can add some usefull info for other too.

                          Cheers,

                          Will
