Thanks for the welcome! The 90 is treating us well so far. Only had it for 3 weeks...so far, so good.
Took it up to Larua on the weekend. Only time I took it off road on dirt was at the rest stops....epic fail.
But was a good trip!
Looking forward to going on some trips with SA PP'ers later in the year for sure.

G'day to all the newbies, though we're just as new.

If you haven't thought about it and would like a great holiday. Check out the SA 2012 GTG. Plenty of time to meet the Minimum Vehicle Requirements but spots are running out fast. Alternatively save up for next years as they have become quite popular.

For anyone in SA, we're more than happy to arrange a PP day/weekend for some great old fun and learning along the way. Just PM us or post in Trip Planning & Reports thread.

Hey all. Newbie here. Damon, from Auckland, NZ. Great to find a forum just for Prado owners. I purchased my first 4x4, a mint, standard, 1996 90 series TZ, auto, V6, a few months ago, with just under 100k on the clock, with mods to come as funds allow. There is a lot of info here and look forward to browsing and seeing what others do with their trucks.

Hi All,
Been looking on here since I sold my Pathie and ordered my Prado june last year. Got the VX in october 11 and have been quite impressed with the overall package. Was a little disapointed with the auto's kick down but sorted that with a 3" pipe and chip.

Hi there,
Been reading the forums for a while, thought i would join and start posting. I bought my prado 2nd hand when it was 3 months old. Its been the wifes car since, just got her a new car so its mine now. My last job required me to work away alot and ive probably only driven it a handful of times. Just got its 100,000 klm service. Its never been offroad, but im about to change that

Got to love PP. After reading posts, just rang Toyota and car is booked for the Sovereign Bullbar Mount Recall.

Hello all,

I have been aware of this forum for a while and see it as a great resource for not only Prado owners but off roaders in general.

Just recently I made a big gamble on a '09 150 Prado that came up at auction and was listed on the WOVR. So now its time to sell the Surf and invest some considerable effort into my new project. I am hoping that sharing my experiences may help other PPers in similar situations or otherwise.

Aside from restoring to original condition, I am planning on adding some mods (lift, tyres, drawers, etc.) down the track.

This is what I'll be dealing with



Front end is pretty messed up!

Anyways I plan on keeping track of my progress and hopefully start a build thread soon.

Here is a new one.

My name is Marco, married with two kids (12/13) and am living in Pert, WA.
Just got my new Prado last week after a little bit of Tsunami in Japan, a little bit of flood in Thailand and a lot of lies from the dealer... that dragged me on for 8 months!
I've got a White diesel GXL Auto and am looking to fix it up.
So far I've replaced the 4 tyres with Cooper ATR and replace light bulbs with HIDs (once you try them, you cannot live without!).
In the next weeks I'll fit a dual battery system, a UHF and will re-adapt my Tracklander roof rack.
Then... the list is long and will take months (years) before I'll be able to clear it up.
