Iam sure it will be a great tug. Will be adding twin batteries in the next few weeks.

        Greetings All,

        New girl reporting in.

My name is Vanja (just call me V, its easier! )... I'm a senior environmental advisor working on a BHPBIO railway project... Looking at going to site fairly shortly...
In my spare time I ride a green Kawasaki Ninja 250R, and drive my little Nissan Pulsar Q (2005) on all sorts of roads!

Being a greenie, I love camping, fishing and the outdoors (but 5 star hotels rate pretty highly too! )

I've wanted a 4wd for a while.. Considered an X-trail initially, but Prado just kicks its butt all the way to the good fishing spots!

Joined the forum to get more info on the different models, mods that are possible etc...

Hope to join the proud Prado family soon enough

            Gday everyone,

My name is Jason and I'm the very proud owner of a 2010 3 door 150 series Ebony in colour. I live in Canberra but am a Newcastle boy through and through!

This is my first 4WD although I have had lots of experience over the years driving and being offsider in various mates rigs both in Newcastle and Canberra. In my previous life I was a V8 Commodore man owning 4 over the years and felt it time for a change in lifestyle and have to say I should have done it years ago.

Have big plans for the shorty - 33 mudders (still not sure what brand), ARB winch bar (on order), 50mm OME suspension (once I can get it), snorkel (soon), 3 inch exhaust (soon), winch (a bit later).

I do heaps of beach driving at Redhead and a bit of bush driving in the Brindabellas when I can't get away from Canberra.

Gotta say this is a great site so keep up the great work everyone.

                Hi,

I've made a few posts. Mainly lots of questions on the 150, but have only just seen this introductions section.

My name is John (JSloosehead). I own a 2005 Prado Grande Petrol with ARB Sahara Bar, IPF spotties, Hayman reese tow kit, Autosafe Cargo barrier, Thumper battery pack install in the rear to run my Engel 60 litre, Rhinorack sports bar where I place a large basket and I have just placed Bridgestone 694's as a replacement for BFG A/Ts .I have had the vehicle since new, done just over 70,000k. I will be replacing it with either a 150 Kakadu or a 200 Series. Making my decision at the moment. Main reason to consider the 200 series is space when you have 3 kids and prefer camping spots without a trailer.

Prior to this I have had
BJ40 Diesel (I think it was 75 model) - that I inherited from father
1980 60 series wagon diesel - that I inherited from father
1974 Suzuki LJ50 3 cylinder 2 stroke which I converted to a Corolla Motor and Gearbox, lifted and bar work
1986 Hilux diesel, lifted with all the goodies
1993 80 series pertrol RV wagon, lifted, ECB bar, BF Goodrich A/T's
1999 90 Series Prado GXL 'Snowy edition', Toyota Bar, Cargo barrier, Tow kit, BFG A/Ts

Have lived on Cape York, worked in Pilbara, so have seen some cool places. Tend to focus on SE Queensland and Northern NSW these days but most xmas' get down to Victoria high county.

                My other toys are
                VW r36 Wagon
                KTM 450 EXC

Can't put a photo of the 120 up as the board quota is full.
2005 Grande v6, dark grey, ARB Sahara Bar, IPF, Bridgestone ATs, Hayman Reese, Rhino Rack, Autosafe cargo barrier, VAI IPOD, Thumper, 60L Engel

                      Hi everyone,

I have dreamed of owning a Prado for some years but was determined that I would not make my purchase until I was sure that I would use it for the real purpose of 4WDing and exploring this wonderful land.

Upon retirement some 10 weks ago I bit the dust and bought a 2008 120 series D4D with TRC, STC, airbag rear spring helpers, 5X Coooper ATR LTs, Tekonsha Elec brake controller and Toyota tow bar/electrics and I must say I am stoked.

I have read avidly the many. many articles, questions and answers you guys have contributed and have enjoyed doing so.

With some more fit out and a camper tailer purchase soon, my wife and I will embark on a number of exloratory trips - short at first and linger later.
Keep up the good work - its a great forum.

BTW (1), at 62 I amy be one of the older Pradopointers and would love to hear from any Sydney based Pradopointers in a similar situation to myself.

BTW (2), Mr Moderator, are the pradpoint stickes still available?

                      all the best

                                Hi

We had a 90 series, upgraded recently to a 150 series. We had a 40mm Old Man Emu lift on our 90 series, highway touring, did hard core 4WDriving, Simpson Desert, Victorian High Country, Outback Qld, all of the SA tracks, around 80'000ks and totally satisfied with performance in all areas. Another big plus is that ARB have a huge network and if something does go wrong then no troubles. OME is going on the 150 series as the last upgrade, as yours in now you need to tell whom ever you choose the extras you are going to put on so they can allow for that in the springs.

                                Have Fun, Richo.
