lightforce harness

Hey guys,
Im looking at getting a set of lightforce 240's.. just a quick question regarding the wiring harness. I know the genuine lightforce harness on ebay is around $80. But some of the 240 blitz packs on there say they include a 'mouse style' wiring harness. Does any one know if this is the same thing and will do the job or will i need the proper lightforce harness as well?

I would assume the mouse style harness refers to the small computer
mouse shaped switches used by some manufactures of pre made forms.

From experience I suggest you make up your own as I have found
even the supposed heavy duty pre made forms available from different
suppliers drop a fair bit of voltage and usually run warm to hot to touch.

I purchased a supposed heavy duty form and ended up scraping it and just
using the relay that came with it!

I bought one of the pre made wire harness's that TJM sold at my local store, Really heavy duty wire, all sealed up connections (fuse holder etc) Have had it on 3 prados now no issues. I didnt bother with the internal switch (just kept wiring under bonnet and looped together) If I want bloody high beam I want the driving lights with it. Dont know who decided that it needs to be law to have an extra internal switch to turn driving lights off independent of the standard high beam. Load of crap.......Never fitted to any 4wd Ive had, 5 to be exact all had driving lights..............But up to you if you want to be 100% legal.Looks like your already ilegal anyway with those tyres on those rims lol.Regards Steve
