Was not being patient, went over by a window and all was well. Having a tin roof was not helping.

I use Natmap Premium maps. Took a bit of stuffing around to get them in the right ".map" format, but the OziExplorer site have lots of good info on doing this whether it be for pc, OziCe or the Android version. My maps on the TF101 are a direct copy from my OziExplorer CE use, in another car using a vms unit.
I have found the Natmap maps to be very good, we used them on the Madigan a couple of years ago copying the gps points from Hema maps, a real advantage with the Natmap maps is they show contour lines whereas Hema do not. I also use CFA Vic maps which are better again, but not much use if you are in Perth unless of course you are over this way. :-)

Real happy with the XOOM as it gets used heaps at home and is the ideal travel companion for navigation, web surfing, emailing, and entertainment. I've also purchased a bluetooth OBD adapter which allows me to run a vehicle diagnostics tool called Torque: http://torque-bhp.com/. Scanguage eat your heart out!!!
On my last trip I ran OziExplorer, Google Navigator and Torque at the same time with no problems at all. Must admit these Android tablets eliminate the need for car pcs and are a great way of consolidating numerous devices into one.
G'day Fungi2003,
What model bluetooth adaptor did you purchase to use with the torque app. There are several around so not sure which would work best. Also with the torque app did you did you download the "purchase" version or are you using the free one?
