    Hi Buddy,
Tell Tony at TJM Corrimal Street that if we fits the Aldi winch for you that there will be a box of Corona's on the back seat for him and i bet he takes the bait. Good Luck.

        • but what if they did and saved me $ 1350.00 dollars.. aldi winch stripped .$399 .. regreased ,sealed and locked tighted 'ed with a custom bar insert, packed to suit? would i be getting value for buck? i rate a recovery as one hundred bucks a pull.. i dont get stuck...

so if I did four times its worth its money... and if i spent 69 dollars on a solenoid upgrade that only takes it $ 469 ... if you go out to get stuck... guess you wouldnt be driving a "Pradopoint.com" rig.... hey...?

          should'a bought a nissan'

            • I have been told the Aldi winches are good. Just don't get them wet......... If it was there as a just in case but with no plan to do hard tracks and actually use it, it might be worth it. My winch goes under water several times a year and gets used regularly. Not worth the risk for me.....

                • 16mm2 cable for winch cables .. aldi winch

would anyone be able to let me know if this cable would be good to replace the standard cable on the new aldi winch ?

                  VERSOLEX 0 : 6/1 kV 16mm2 C.U 09-12

think i will put a thompsen solenoid in it from the start and replace leads with this if suited... want to mount the control box up high under the bonnet passenger side top of guard... have a roll in the shed .... longest length approx 2.2 m to winch

initially running a single battery set up

                  any advice would be appreciated

                  cheers butane

                  • I'd be using at least 35mm welding cable and an Albright contactor

                    • Use this site as an example

                      http://www.energymatters.com.au/clim...calculator.php

@ 2.2m with a cable size of 16mm2 is only good for about 100amps...

But it depends on number of strands in the cable, ambient temp etc.

                            Yes, can I have some

Not only is it high current capable it is generally more flexible which is good for getting into tight engine bays.
