That was quite entertaining, right up to... ok, I won't spoil the end.
Though, notice the recovery point these guys used. A few titles would fit in well with that vid... I'm thinking "Death Wish".

Awesome. I'm surprised it came out as easily as that. Must have weighed close to 4 tonnes with all that water in there!2003 V6, Auto, GXL, Factory Bullbar, Rhino Roofbars, Bosch and Hella spotties, Cooper AT3, Bilstein shocks, Ironman awning, GME UHF, MaxTrax.

You've got that right! A friend of mine won't drive off road with the windows open as a good friend of his was killed when his car rolled. He had the window open and got crushed under the car due to hanging out the window when it went over - if the window had been shut he would have been fine. Watching this vid brought it back to me seeing the guy hanging out the window as it tipped.Originally posted by letsgoplaces View PostAt least they were belted in..... morons

Actually, you definitely want the windows open (just about an inch or so) for any water crossing, in case you get bogged or swept under. It makes exiting the vehicle much easier that it all the windows are sealed shut. I have first hand experience of this and I can vouch with my life that an open window can save your life when (or rather... if
) you are submerged.
I went about 4" under water trying to get out of a flood in Mozambique in the late 1990's. That's about 4" over the roof in my boss' Pajero SWB. If we had closed the windows completely, we souldn't have been able to kick out the window (because of the pressure being exerted on the outside). I now carry an old spark plug or a purpose-built smasher in the car and I would never do a water crossing with my windows completely closed.

Agree with you there - what I meant was fully open so that you could lean out like in the vid. I also keep mine open a tad just in case (and carry a life hammer)Originally posted by dragonfly238 View PostActually, you definitely want the windows open (just about an inch or so) for any water crossing, in case you get bogged or swept under.
