    Been about 5 yrs since I was at Coolendel. The ammenities were a bit run down and the price was steep ($20pn a head I think), but it is a nice spot and the firewood was free.

      oh yeah i forgot to add . if your going south in the school hols , you better book in advance. sydney is the best place to be in jan , because everybody buggers off and goes to the SOUTH coast or to the sunshine coast . i know that half the sutherland shire goes to Kioloa every year .

        If being off the coast isn't an issue, look up Duea National Park. Large flat camp ground along a river and great 4 wheeling to be had. It's quite possible to go from there to almost Melbourne without touching the black top!

          alovaoz, any update or report on your trip.

          Need to get a few km up before the end of March so we are heading that way this weekend for a couple of weeks - any comments would be good.
