Buy their own argument, they cannot rate their recovery points unless it's connected to a particular vehicle using their own specifically designed mounting method. A freestanding recovery point ( like a single Outback Ideas one ) can only be rated / certified for it's maximum breaking strain. As they say ( correctly ) the whole ball game changes depending on how it's mounted. Using this logic, only a vehicle specific recovery point and mounting method can be rated / certified / warranted if it is installed by the manufacturer ( or their agent ). Do you see $$$$$ ?
Bazza
http://www.ausauto.com/?page_id=530 that is only going to mount to the vehicle it's designed for, and your going to struggle to mount it any way but the way they intended.
Also their saying it's only rated if used with a 4.75t schackle and a 8000kg strap, so that the strap is the weakest point in the "recovery train" so it'll break first. I'm not keen on the idea of one recovery point either, I like using the equaliser strap.
And the $$$$$ I reckon the price was built up something like this.
Materials & Manufacture $40
Use of Buzz Words like "recovery train" $25
Only Product that fits with their Bars $50
2yrs R&D $75
ARB Logo & Pretty Red Paint $75Big Dog

Funny you mention that.
I called ARB at Coopers Plains enquiring about front recovery points for my 150. The guy on the phone put me on hold whilst he looked it up. He then told me that there was none available.
This happened on Tues arvo 17th.
Cheers,

Hopefully they let you know when they get them. I did that for a bull bar when I first got my Prado since they weren't available yet (December 2009) and they already had a big backlog. I never heard anything and went in 6 months later or so only to be told they'd been out for ages.2009 Prado 150 D4D GXL with 265/70R17 Cooper AT/3 tyres, Max Trax, HR tow bar, Airtec snorkel, UHF and the usual recovery gear. On the list: cargo barrier, Bilstein shocks and King springs, deluxe winch bar, 10000lb winch, Lightforce 240 XGT spotlights, dual spare wheel carrier

Their website has nothing on the Prado as yet:
Their December 2011 ARB Recovery Points press release does have a photo of the Hilux recovery point:
