Well if your allowed to have any vehicle you want, get something you could normally never afford anyother way, like an exotic sports car, because with vehicle leases, you are not allowed to modify the vehicle, so if you did go for another Prado, you cant put aftermarket accessories on it.
97 VX Grande, with front & rear air lockers, ARB Sahara winch bar with tigers 11 winch, 2" EFS lift, 265/75/16 Achilles Desert hawk XMT, and more.

I know someone with a monster/engineered 4x4 under lease. Not sure how he does it, but he's about to start it all over again soon with a new model/lease.

I don't know much about leasing, but I do know that every second PPer with heaps of mods has a leased Prado! At least 3 come to mind instantly with twin lockers, winch, bullbar, sliders, drawers and heaps more.

        Cheers Andrew

You can put mods on any leased car, you just can't claim them, they are at your cost.

Hi richo you are correct if you are adding mods once the vehicle is in your possesion, BUT!!!
If you get them on the vehicle pre delivery, they are part of the lease ie; gst & tax free. They do however, add to the capital cost of the vehicle thus the FBT is higher as it is worked out on a percentage of capital cost & KM 's driven.

                  Cheers

Well I had a talk with the missus, and what I'm going to do is get a people mover(most likely a honda Odyssy) because we (she) plans on having a couple more kids, which she would get after the lease is up.

If I get a prado it would mean that I would most likely be tied down to my current job longer (not that I have a bad job I just want to keep my options open).

                    I had mental issues when I owned a Discovery.......But it's sorted now!
