Hey switched, I had a similar problem with my ARB bar which began at about the 6 month mark. I went back to the installer (ARB) and they looked at it... nothing happened. I asked my local crash repairer his opinion and he reckoned that it a substandard paint job which was probably done in a humid environment (I had some bubbling under the paint as well). Went back a couple more times at about 12 and 18 month mark by which time it had developed in several areas of the bar and was quite bad. Eventually I email some photos, which they passed on to HQ. A short time latter they agreed to respray it.
At first ARB was slow on the uptake but eventually came through with good customer service and it's now fixed and showing no signs of anymore rusting... I'm not sure if they resprayed it or replaced it and infact it looks (looked) great. Then about 3 months ago it sustained battle damage during an altercation with a rouge tree.... bugger !

Hey Sam, good to see ARB having a presence.... Any chance of getting it straightened and touched up???

Well I met with the good folk at ARB this morning and they are going to have it replaced with a new spanker in about a month or so.

Nice result Switched, its a PITA doing without the vehicle when it should have been right originally but at least they are coming to the party.

          We'll see how mine goes.

ARB only will need it for the day while they swap it over. Luckily for me I'll be overseas and wont need it for a while. Just hope the old man doesnt decided to take a detour on the way home from ARB via the Kimberleys. Better keep an eye out on the odometer me thinks

I've already bolted a tigerZ up the front, maybe I'll ask them to pop a front locker in there while they are there though
In all honestly, ARB couldn't have handled it any better.

                    Well said!

I reckon the true test of any company is how they handle their warranties/customer complaints.

I have been using ARB products for as long as I can remember (late 70's?) and my experience has been that they have supplied quality products that have been tested and backed to perform the required spec. The reason for choosing companies like ARB (and one or two others) is customer service and quality products.

Buy the Ebay dodiges at your own peril, when you are in the outback, the cape or other remote places and smash something through your own fault or product fault, then this is where your supplier comes to the fore, parts available and done to get you on the track in a minimum of time.

See ya on the tracks, Richo.

                            Hutch

When you are as old as me dates become a blur, I was born in the 50's and have had a shedload of 4Bying, camping and touring fun if you need some instructions (on fun) or help on the tracks just call and I'm in

Pity you can't do Glasshouse tomorrow as it will definately be fun on the clay after the rain, and I have some really special olives and sourdough for lunch with a cheeky Chardonnay.

See ya on the tracks, Richo and Gay.
