Rust appearing on ARB Deluxe Bar

Just noticed today I have some rust appearing on my ARB Deluxe winch bar that was purchased in May 2009 from ARB.
I also have some appearing on the radiator bash plate as well.
Before I approach ARB to see what they say about it, Id like to put my feelers out there and see what others think here. I for one am not happy with it, but am i within my rights to have ARB repair/repaint or is it now my responsibility 2 years, 8 months on.

Pretty typical surface rust from a crappy paint job, very common, good luck with ARB

Edit - my bar is rusted like that but my bashplates are fine

Mine is nearly the same age but no rust. Maybe the Coupler-tec works after all.

I have rust where the thousand odd stone chips are. Mine has faded toan almost mat finish. Mine is 3 years old and has been faded for at least 12 months. No serious rust anywhere else though. Plates are fine.

The ARB bar on my 150 (9 months old) has a few little rust marks up under the verticle support strut like pics 2 & 3 but not so bad.... though it will get there eventually. I have been meaning to contact the 4x4 shop and let him know but been bust lately, i'll set a reminder to call them on Monday and see what they say.

I think ARB gives a three year warranty on most of it's products, so you might be just in time.

I would contact head office and send them some photos and explain the situation. I am sure they will address it as it's not that old. I had some major self inflected scratches on one of their bars which was well out of warranty , they orgainsed touch up paint for free for me.

thanks guys... always good to get other opinions. Ive forwarded off some pics to head office hoping to hear back from them. Personally feel its a manufacturing defect as the only rust on the prado is on two different ARB produced products.

Mine had some issues but ARB Coopers Plains responded on the first call and rectified, excellent service.

G'day Madkore, among other things, I'm looking after our social media presence so I'll be getting involved in some of the key forms, creating and managing our Facebook page, getting Twitter up and running, working on the website etc.
