I'm with LiveConnected (http://liveconnected.com.au/) for my mobile and pay $11/month for 1.5GB data and $500 worth of calls and text. They use the Optus network. I activate the wireless hotspot on my Android phone and the Android tablet can get on the internet too.

For a solution of 3G on the rig. I always have a 3G portable pocket wifi which attach to the car's console and have 24/24 wifi whenever i go into the car (but must be in the range of Vodafone) and has 1gb/month (so more than enough for any surfing web demands). This can allow to connect up to 5 devices at one time. It works with Vodafone and it cost me $15/month.
Plus I also have my TPG 3G sim card in my phone which the phone also can be a wifi modem for my laptop/tablet with another 1Gb via USB or via air. This cost me more $15 from TPG.James

It appears that people are anticipating a new iPad soon, so prices should be dropping

Hi fabes
I have upgraded to IOS6 and out of curiosity tried to download from the iPad a photo
Using the iPad when on the browse section in postimage.org it said choose files instead, held finger on it for 5 seconds and option came to choose from library appeared ,chose a relevant photo and was able to upload image complete, but could not find out how to copy to clipboard so selected all in the box section to the left, copied and pasted here

Hope you can now see the photo?? That worked!!
Hope this helpsLast edited by KIMBOPRADO; 03-11-2012, 01:19 AM.06 Prado GXL,V6 auto BLACK,MT STZ LT265/65/17,toyota sovereign bull bar.Because of Prado Point HAD to get - Lovells springs/Bilstein shocks-50mm lift,ScanGaugeII,Dig Options AVN11TP GPS Unit, Lifestyle rack, Hilux Jets,AMTS 55W HID Black Euro Spotties,AMTS tyre carrier spacer,AMTS radiator bash plate, AJ120 rock sliders,LEDLAD interior lights,AMTS LED sov.bar,AMTS recovery points, safari snorkel and pioneer platform -DAMM YOU PP!!

Hi Kim
The one thing that I dont like about Postimage is that if there are multiple photos you can only view one at a time, with Photobucket you can scroll through them once you open one.

That's nice, I wonder what iPad is it but anyway I am glad you loved it. I am currently looking for an iPad, but a little hesitated about which one to choose. However, being on a budget and that I want it for studying I thinking of the iPad 8 for taking notes and stuff. I believe it's suitable to use with an apple pen which will mostly be of a first generation one but who cares as long as it gets the job done without the need to break the bank. The downside to the ipad 8 that it lacks a memory card installation option so it's better to buy the 128 gb one. https://www.tekneya.com/apple-ipad-8...-need-to-know/ . I also want to check the ipad air 4th gen. although it's more expensive.Originally posted by Sozjot View PostSteve,
The bride got me an iPad for my birthday last year. I use it all the time (right now in fact) and I have memory map on it which is pretty good for offload mapping. If you get the iPad make sure you get the 3G version as it has an internal GPS receiver that the wifi version does not have. I found a way to mount it in the 150 (have a search of the gps thread). All in al I am very happy with it.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
